The simplicity of this snorkel made it my first choice in comparison to a semi-dry snorkel. It is more time beneath the water than I spend above it, sometimes diving at 20 feet or more The 30' mark. Snorkeling is an activity that I do a lot. I had a snorkel with gismos at the top to keep out water that I did not think was worthwhile. I can turn my head a little more and look without filling the tube with water without using the gismo. Compared to my old snorkel, this one feels more comfortable in my mouth.
