In a nutshell, You can't beat these. In comparison, other skates my children used to have when they were younger were complicated and confusing to adjust. This skate just requires a button push and the toe can then be pushed or pulled in and The wheels seem to be rolling very smoothly to my eyes. Although I am not an expert on skates, it seems to be a smooth ride for a kid's In retrospect, I should have remembered the wheels light up and when my girls put them on and saw the lights, they were very In the daytime you will be able to see them however, it will not be as good as at night. I just wanted to point out that the purple ones have a glittery sparkly effect that the pink ones don't.
