This wheel and 36 spokes from Wheelsmith were used to rebuild a 27" wheel. I expected and expected that the nipples would go on the spokes. It was easy to turn. There was an existing rim that needed to be matched, and these silver plated nipples were what I As a result, they are the standard among many US builders, so for me, that was enough. I bought these since they were cheap because I had a broken nipple on my road bike but the spoke was fine. I didn't know if they would work but decided to buy them anyway. The ones I bought are a little smaller (thinner) than the ones I previously owned, but they are the right length and fixed my issue. The issue here is not an issue.
The brass spokes on my rear wheel were a better fit for me therefore I switched out all aluminum spokes with them.
