It's not worth the trouble! This is not HARD STEEL, as the advertisement claims; it may be hard chromed, but it is not HARD STEEL! HARD STEEL, on the other hand, does not deform as easily as this product. The product began to show signs of deformation after four rust-free, well-lubricated spoke nipples! After that, it began to show signs of not being able to hold the spoke nipple in the required position without causing damage to the spoke nipple. Please be truthful when selling your product; I understand that it isn't a lot of money, but people's time is valuable as well when dealing with items that aren't as advertised!.
Although I understand that you get what you pay for, this tool did not perform as well as I had hoped. I've bought a lot of things from Amazon and written a lot of reviews, but this is my first one-star review. It stripped the coating off a couple of my black spokes, which I have. I then taped one side to prevent this from happening, but I had to stop every few minutes to readjust the tape, which was very inconvenient. To make matters worse, the tool had already deformed to the point where it couldn't get a good grip on the nipples after doing back tires. Despite the fact that you can use both sides, I was still unable to complete my front tire due to the deformity on both sides. The item isn't at all long-lasting.
It had a satisfyingly heavy feel. With this tool, I was able to quickly and easily true up the wheels on my bike. The tool appeared to be a good fit for the spoke nipples and allowed me to complete the task. After truing up two wheels (one of which was in bad shape), the tool showed signs of wear and didn't seem to fit as well on some of the spokes. I was working on an older bike, so some of the spokes were a little more difficult to turn. This is likely to blame for the tool's increased wear, but I had hoped it would last a little longer. However, I believe it will be useful for further adjustments in the future. It fulfilled my requirements for the price.
This Spoke Wrench is compatible with all of the spokes on both of my bicycles. 1 trike plus you can't beat the price at the bike shop I've found them for 2x the price for anyone who rides a lot sooner or later you'll need to adjust or replace a spoke it's small and fits in my bike tool bag so it's easy to take along (like a tire tube to fix a flat) Thanks so much for a great Tool and at a good price Bob.
My initial issue was that none of the wrenches would fit into the spoke. I tried pushing it in from the side, but it wouldn't fit. It will fit if I slide it down on the little nut from the top of the spoke, but not from the side; perhaps that's how they're all made? I'm not sure what I'm saying. It could be due to my own inexperience or a poorly designed product.
My hybrid bike is approximately 5 years old. It cost around $200 and I got it from Sports Authority. I had to take it to Trek every now and then to have the tires trued. That must have cost at least $20. By clamping the tire to the bike rack, I believe I managed to ruin it this time. This, in any case, appeared to be a bad situation. Because the bike was so old, I figured I'd try to fix it myself. I learned how to do it by watching a few YouTube videos and then looking for the "cheapest" multi tool here. It arrived quickly, and two of the six slots were labeled "14," which perfectly matched my spoke "nipples. " I used a dry erase marker (you could also use a pencil) to locate the bump. Then you rotate those nipples a tiny bit. In my case, the middle one required a 1/2 turn, while the two further out each required a 1/4 turn in the opposite direction. On the next two outs, add a 1/8. This wrench is made of SOLID metal and has a knurled edge for a secure grip. That wheel was easy to tune up, and the wrench is small and light enough to fit in my bike bag. br>br>For a first-time tuner, I recommend this. It's a simple and effective economic tool. It's ideal for maintaining the appearance of your own bicycle.
Simply put, you have all of the sizes you'll require in a single tool. Why do they continue to produce single-use products? I have no idea what size spoke wrenches are. The Goabroa Wrench is of the highest caliber. It has a clearly marked spoke size, a knurled grip for easy tightening, and it fits on my little finger, allowing me to use the other fingers while performing repairs. Put one in your toolbox, hang one on your shop pegboard, and keep one in your pocket for those times when you're not sure what you'll need. Oh, and did I mention that a pair of these costs less than one? what is the diameter of a spoke wrench It is a foregone conclusion. Now is the time to order. You'll be glad you did it a thousand times over.
This is the first time I've ever trued my bike wheels, so it's a new experience for me. My ten-year-old son recently crashed his bike, throwing his front wheel so far out of alignment that he couldn't even ride it. I knew I could fix it by adjusting the spokes, but I'd never tried it. I discovered a tutorial on how to do it. I went online to look for the tool and watched a video. I had no idea what size his spokes were, and as a family of four, we probably have different spoke sizes on all of our bikes. As a result, having a tool that could be used in a variety of sizes was beneficial. It only took me about 15 minutes to get his wheel back to its original position once it arrived. In addition, I made those minor adjustments on my own bike, so it was a good buy.
