Questions & Answers
Are you talking about a conversion kit for Shimano to a fixed gear or are you just talking about a single speed which will ?
There is only one gear in this kit, which includes a cog and spacers, so the kit fits the length of the freehub just like a cassette would, but with only one gear instead of a large variety.
Do we assume this adapter only works with freehubs? Or do we assume it also works with thread on hubs?
The hub covers cannot be threaded on, but only fit over freehubs. I apologize for any confusion.
My 10 speed mongoose has 27-inch fat tires on it, and it has a 10 speed. Does it measure 5 inches?
Please let me know how the gear cluster is connected to the hub at the rear of your vehicle. If it is splines, is it screwed in or is it a sliding assembly?

I was able to complete the task without any problems
It did the job,I have now started converting my son's 7 speed schwinn mountain bike into a single speed mountain bike, and i highly recommend you check out this single speed conversion kit if you are looking to modify your bike. You just need to align the chain at the foot crank ring to this single speed cog in the rear wheel, add the spacers you need for it to remain in your chosen location, complete the installation, and you're (I am sorry I don't have better photos.

The quality of the product is poor
The bike was not compatible with the Shimano freehub, as shown in my photos. I couldn't get the diameter to fit. In order for it to fit into the splines, I had to grind it down two times in one go. As soon as I did that, I was able to access it on Freehub. As far as I am concerned, it does the job that we need and I do not understand why others are so expensive. As far as I can tell, this is the only one I can afford. I am now able to use it as it should after grinding down the metal to fit.

I really like the conversion kit because there are so many I found it to be a great value, with plenty of aluminum spacers to work with any setup I can think of
One reviewer mentioned the cog didn't fit his freehub, which was also the case for my stans wheels. A little smaller cog fits, but the spacers and lockrings are just right. Since it does fit my other wheel, which has a bitex hub, I guess it must be just a case of misunderstandings in terms of tolerance. In any case, I bought it for the spacers and locking, not the cog. I would recommend it if you already have a shimano cassette and are looking for a single speed frame. This cog matches my Wolftooth stainless steel cog, which is always a plus.

The fit is perfect, and the work is excellent
Even though I was a little hesitant about the price and all, it worked perfectly and I haven't had any problems! I was so impressed with how easy it was In general, it's not difficult to pull the cassette of a wheel provided you have the right tools. In addition, what is the material of the spacers (metal or claimed they are plastic, but mine are not plastic because the manufacturer upgraded them). I am very pleased with how well it fits and does exactly what is needed. I like the way it looks as well. Are there any other comments to make?.
Freehub wouldn't even be able to accommodate Cog
The kit was purchased for my Klein mountain bike so I could convert it Having used these kits in the past, I never had a problem with them, however when I went to install the kit, the cog wouldn't Keeping the spacers was simply a matter of keeping them and using the Wolf Tooth Components sprocket, which is very reliable. In general, I give the kit a 3 star rating because the spacers worked fine for me. However, do not purchase it unless you are ordering a different cog along.

The hub body was designed to fit Shimano Uniglide hubs
On a shimano Uniglide free hub body dating back to the late 1980s, installed this kit. There is uniformity in the depth and width of all the splines in this style body. I used the aluminum spacers and the steel cog that came with the kit, and the kit also came with plenty of extra spacers to fine tune the chain line. However, I did not use the lock ring from the kit since It just so happens that the old English style bottom bracket lock ring will work with In fact, I have been surprised at just how well this all went together, considering that Uniglide cassettes have become It is too early for me to comment on this kit's durability since I haven't ridden the bike yet.

A set of spacers allows for easy alignment from front to back
After I installed the spacer, I had a little extra left over. A) Standard There are aluminum spacers and sprockets, but they feel too light, and My beach cruiser is made of steel, so I'm sure the aluminum will hold up fine and only "feel" flimsy because it's so light. Using this set on a 20mm rim (inside rim width) means I will need to adjust the tire pressure. In conclusion, the product offers a good value, and I would again purchase it.

An easy to use conversion tool
This CyclingDeal Single Speed Conversion Kit worked just fine for me, and is also a good option for anyone who wants to convert a freehub wheel to a Sprocket is solid, though it is not as thick as some available, it is steel and so far has worn well for me. The sprockets come with spacers in various sizes that allow for adjusting the chainline to the perfect position. It is a product I will buy again, and I have no complaints.
