Questions & Answers

Is this going to work with the Topeak BabySeat I? Metal is preferable to engineered plastic in my opinion. edit: Because of the comments below, I decided to order the rack. It is incompatible with the Babyseat I. ?

It should be compatible with the babyseat 1. You can always call Topeak to double-check and have peace of mind. 213- 4561 br>The benefit of having two racks, as we do (one for me and one for my wife), is that they are compatible with all Topeak MTX trunk bags for many years of use and you can still sell the seat and rack together!

What if the frame of my bike lacks rack mounts?

For Townie bicycles, this is not a good combination
3/5

Townie bicycles are not compatible with this product. The latching bar for the baby seat is too far forward, and the seat is blocking it. Even with the seat all the way down (which means it is in its most forward position), we have trouble latching the baby seat in my wife's Townie.

The hardware for installation is missing
3/5

When the required bolts and brackets are not included in the package, installation is impossible. I placed an order for two of these. In the box, they were both marked as "new. " One had the correct labels and hardware, but the other had been re-packaged. It was packaged as if it were a returned item, with all of the hardware and branding inserts missing. I was extremely disappointed. I didn't open the boxes until after the return period had expired, so here I am. And, as far as I can tell, there is no way to contact the seller about the purchase on Amazon.

Small
4/5

This isn't even close to the stated measurements! At the most, it's a number of thirteen. 5 x 5. 5 x 14. br>br>On the plus side, the brackets fit my Aventon Pace, which almost always necessitates the purchase of separate brackets. br>br>It's solid. It's something I believe in. I like it. br>br>I haven't bought any of the locks yet. Because topeak bags are expensive, I haven't used them yet, but the cheap crate I zip tied on works great. I wish it had been longer. br>br> But I suppose it's comparable to most bike racks? br>br>I have no intention of purchasing a babyseat. I bought this version because it was less expensive, but it had the same size and mtx system as the previous one.

Purchasing the second rack was well worth it! After we got the Topeak baby bike seat for his bike, my handy husband installed this on my bike; it's super easy to snap the baby seat on either bike, and having the second rack is sooo worth it
5/5

Because the tire rubbed on his mountain bike, we had to transfer his rack to his road bike. However, if it fits, it's an excellent system, particularly if you want multi-user capabilities. options for riding a bicycle.

Solid rack, but it didn't technically fit my bike because I missed the part on the technicals about "bikes with quick mount system," which my bike doesn't have
5/5

I was about to return the rack when I discovered that the stabilizing arms could be attached to the seat post locking clamp. I also had to drill out a couple of pre-existing holes for the bottom to fit into, as well as add longer hardware and nuts to keep it in place. After some reworking, engineering This rack is extremely durable and should be able to store supplies for many years.

This is a strong bicycle attachment that comes from the field. It provides a lot of freedom and flexibility for both mom and baby.

There are parts that are missing
3/5

Attachment parts and bolts are not included. The rack is all that is left. Even though it wasn't mentioned on the list, I guess you'll have to buy those extras. It depicts portions of the image.

It was a little more difficult than I had anticipated
5/5

It matches my seat perfectly. Due to the design of my road bike, it was a little difficult to attach, but my husband figured it out and it works perfectly.
