Questions & Answers

In your opinion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a 24" compared to a 26"?

This bike is 26" wide and has 24-inch wheels. The wheels on this bike are smaller, therefore the bike is also smaller.

How much weight can a rider carry on the 26" Meridian Cruiser tricycle?

The weight of the writer is 280 pounds

If I am not mistaken, a reviewer stated that the brake was faulty. ?

Five of these have been owned by me, and I have never had any brake issues. The 26 inch version would not be sufficient for you. You need a 24 inch version.

The front of the basket can be modified to accommodate an additional basket?

An answer is no longer needed by the asker There is a chance that other readers will disagree. The front of the basket can be added without any trouble. Remember, however, that the trike steers with the handle bar, not by leaning forward, as a bicycle does. It may be difficult to steer with a heavy load in the front basket.

It was only after reading every review, both good and bad, that I purchased this bike from the Warehouse Deals section of Amazon
5/5

The bike really surprised me at a pretty reasonable price. I am a 52-year-old woman who has little experience with mechanical equipment, but I arrived on a beautiful day when the bike showed up. As I took my iced tea outside, I spent a leisurely afternoon figuring out what was in the box. I was able to assemble the bike myself with only a little help from my husband and son (mostly to make sure I did some thing correctly). I'm glad I did, too, because now I understand more about how to adjust things. The parts are familiar to me and I know how they are put together and how they function. It is indeed quite easy to put it together, however, if you only plan to use it for a short time, you might want to get help or go to I think it is going well so far. Please note

It is the There are a lot of reviews saying they wanted a more BLUE bike. This bike should be referred to as "Ice Blue" or something like that, not Slate, since it is really a silvery blue, not a darker color as I would have expected. Please note

The packaging is When I purchased the item from Amazon Warehouse Deals, the item was advertised as repackaged, so I was prepared for As I opened the large box, the inside box containing all parts of the bike was fearful. When I opened the box, the large box was not too badly damaged from shipping, but when I opened the inner box, the inner box inside was quite rough too. I received mine in a double box. The original box looks very beat up, so I wonder if someone returned it! Despite the fact that the original box does not seem to have been opened and resealed, it has never been accessed? So I probably got lucky, but I'm guessing this has something to do with shipping and is perhaps unavoidable when working with parts like fenders that easily bend Please note

Taking it apart I had to review the diagram a few times during the course because of my lack of understanding It took me some reading and thinking, but I was able to figure it This is what I used to (after I did some searching! the handlebar stem grease The grease they call for is a tube of grease, but you can use Vaseline if you don't have any. have confirmed with a friend of mine who is a mechanical expert that this should not be a problem, since there aren't high temperatures or excessive Once I got the fenders lined up with the holes for the bolts that hold them on, I had to bend them slightly to prevent them from rubbing against each other. After the brakes are adjusted, it might take a while for them to work You should definitely find a friend with more experience to install this part for you or take the frame to a bike shop for assembly if any of the above sounds complicated to you. It didn't bother me at all that it was tweaked. Please note

Taking a ride This is an entirely different experience than a two wheel bike! It is important to keep this in mind, otherwise you may think one thing is wrong when it is another. It is not necessary to lean on this bike, and might even make your sensation of being off balance even worse. Quite possibly, you may even want to lean OUT of a turn (the opposite direction) a little At first, I felt a bit unbalanced on the trike, but I simply took a deep breath and tried to remember that this was different from anything I had ever tried before. I am feeling better and better with every passing day. As well, my hometown's road is slightly graded to prevent rain water from running off, so if I ride on it, I'm aware that having a balancing issue could be a possibility. Initially I travel on the road, but then I am back on the rails, only for a short while The area around our home is filled with trails. There are always going to be challenges with that as well Grading is a bit different for runoff, but there I can work better with it. As long as the trail is clear, I just sit in the middle and my fellow bikers let me know they are approaching by calling out or ringing their bells, and I move over to let them pass. ")****- " How to mount/dismount With the back wheels even attached, I kept bumping the backs of my legs. It was just a matter of getting used to the fact that unlike a 2 wheel bike, I had to be aware of Please note

The seat is It's a pleasure to meet you. I am a wonderful, middle aged woman with ample middle aged muscles. Even though the bike seat just fits fine for me, since I got a great deal on it, I don't mind getting a wider, more comfortable seat in the future. To get your business up and running, or if you wish for a perfect, flawless experience, look elsewhere, or consider getting professional assistance to assemble and check.

410 lbs and I honestly thought the tires would blow the instant I sat down
5/5

They held fine and I have been on multiple rides with this bike since I first bought it, and the only trouble I have experienced is that the seat does not stay in place. It looks like we'll soon have a wider seat with extra rear support hopefully that will fix the problem. A bolt I had never fully tightened did not tighten, but customer service sent me a replacement, and I must say I was extremely satisfied with how they treated me. Thank you for your hard work.

I love this trike so much! It's heavy, but well worth the price
5/5

I love it so much! I was born with a genetic disorder (EDS) that is causing my bones to age three times faster than the rest of As a result, even at the age of 24, I am suffering from quite serious joint issues, including a sprained PCL, so I was looking for something that would be easy on my bones while I was keeping active. I was given this as a present by my mother- There is a lot of weight in this box The thing had to be carried up three flights by two guys. Then again, the boxes are so heavy I still found myself pulling them around the apartment due to their size. I have a 100-pound dog who I carry fifty pounds of food every two weeks up three flights of stairs. This bike was impossible for me to assemble - It was taken apart three times over the course of a week before it was delivered to a colleague It is easy to put together with simple tools. My husband put it together on their bonding night and took less than three hours. Even though I have never mastered the art, I still recommend not spending money on labor and simply bring someone handy the bike, some beer, and a pizza. It is possible.
Unfortunately, once the set was assembled, it was still too heavy to take upstairs twice a day. So keep that in mind if you don't live in a neighborhood that is well patrolled. In terms of riding, this bike is fantastic since it's really easy to use. I've been on rides up to 12 miles with an elevation gain of 300 feet so far. It has seen me through over 50 miles and 700 feet of elevation over the past few months, doing so in temperatures of up to 100 degrees with humidity, and in all kinds of weather. Despite all its wear and tear, this bike keeps going. The bike is the only way I go to the store. I fill up one of my five-gallon buckets with $100 worth of groceries, throw it in the basket, and ride home. My home is in a humid area of south Texas that is extremely hilly, and this bike is able to handle the hills as well as my weight. In fact, I upgraded from the one with a horn to one without when I received this bike and would highly recommend you look into it. As an eight year old, I had never been in a fight. When I received this bike I weighed 220 pounds and was 4 years old at the time. Since I have been riding it regularly for fun I have already lost 10 pounds. Despite the fact that this was my first bike, and that I was not familiar with riding, I have never fallen or crashed, even when I was new to it. Using cruise control while going downhill at ten mph is just as good. The bike would be highly recommended for older adults with bone issues like myself, mobility challenged individuals, and anyone who is interested in a cargo type trike that is easy on the environment. The price of this trike may seem steep, but it has quickly become the favorite toy of my daughter and my new favorite hobby. in the event that my bike fails, I would not even hesitate to spend the asking price.

His bike is exactly what he needs
5/5

The bike will be used by our 9 year old autistic son. He wouldn't be able to ride a bike in his size if it didn't have training wheels. I believe it's sensory overload. I have no doubt that he's going to love it! The basket is large enough for him to balance on, to put his toys or stuffed animals in, and he also loves it very much!.
