It must be said that Silca track pumps circa 1984 are rarely praised for their performance A gauge with a reliable measurement. I do not believe that a half atmosphere reading on this pump is what I would consider to be worthy of star depletion, so I see no reason to write it off as surprising or unjustified. The red arrow marker on the gauge allows me to factor in an additional 1/2 atmosphere of tire pressure, which I appreciate. Also, the gauge looks hugely improved, and is easier to read and easier to place. There is a good length to the hose. I didn't have to wait as long as I did with the Silca, but it was ample. It is genius to have the pump head. Both ends have presta, the other end has schrader, and the lever throws in either direction. I don't know how well it will hold up being made out of all plastic and nylon, but I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. The pump action is smooth and authoritative, but the journey length is clearly shorter than with the Silca, so it's not going to get my chamois tangled up. A worthy successor, all in all.

This pump comes with a 1-year warranty. Also, as you get to the higher pressures, it becomes obvious that the volume per pump diminishes. However, that is normal for all pumps. I highly recommend this.
Pumps like this one are pretty solid and can handle most tasks. The old one didn't have a psi gauge, so I had to replace it. The pump itself is not extraordinary, but overall this is a great pump.
