The bottom hanging piece is yanked upwards. Attaches to handlebars with a fastener.
It's not a bother. The sound of a blaring car horn is inconvenient. Just a friendly voice that is loud enough to be heard.
It only makes a squeaky toy sound, but it's a lot of fun! Mine is one of my favorites.

First and foremost, delivery was prompt, and the product appeared to be exactly as depicted in the photos, and it met my expectations. sort of. Second, I'd like to point out that my application was not submitted on a bicycle. I was putting the 1" stern pulpit on my sailboat together. I was going to buy more if it worked. The majority of bicycle handlebars are 3/4" in diameter. I figured that mounting to the 1" tubing with rubber bands would provide some adjustability. Not in the least. The rubber band on the parrot's "horn" isn't very flexible (read: at all). It was impossible to attach to the 1" tubing on the boat. I'm guessing it'd be great on a bike handlebar? Third, the sound is similar to that of a dog's "squeaky" toy or "Wheezy" the penguin from the Toy Story film. The squeaker is also not securely fastened in the parrot. Mine was taken away from me. I was able to re-enact the scene. assemble. Just keep that in mind. This isn't a horn that "honks. " It's an insult to horns to call this a horn! Just putting it out there. br>In terms of quality, the parrot appears to be well-made, with sharp detail and vibrant colors. The pirate theme appealed to me. Two stars for referring to it as a horn when it isn't. Again, it's likely to work well on bike handlebars!.
Although I ordered two parrots, the seller only sent one. Great customer service because when I contacted the seller, they immediately dispatched the replacement. Because it resembles a squeaky toy, my dog also enjoys the parrot. Adding this to our bikes is a lot of fun. It's also a great look for a beach bike! I'm still on the lookout for a cup holder made of coconut.
They're fantastic. They're great fun to watch. It comes highly recommended.
It's a little on the pricey side for what it is, but it's a fun addition to a cruiser. To fit on standard handlebars, the rubber band attachment needed to be stretched out. Overall, I like it.
My parrot is a good friend of mine. It appears to be very appealing. I don't think it's appropriate for a bell. It makes a dog toy-like squeak.
This is an ideal replacement item.
For the price, it's adequate.
