Around 3/4" in diameter. Tent pegs that are extremely strong.

As a result, I'm going to make a change to my previous rating. For reaching out to me, I thought the company deserved to be recognized. I had previously purchased a set of eight tent spikes, which I mistook for a complete set. I was disappointed that I only received four and assumed that the company had made a mistake. I must have misread the description and overlooked the fact that there were four 8-inch tent stakes. A tent stake of 4 inches isn't very useful. The company contacted me and apologized for what may or may not have been my fault. They sent me four extra tent stakes and expedited a new shipment at no cost. The stakes are of good quality, and while camping in Death Valley recently, they withstood gusts of up to 40 miles per hour. When I returned one day, tents had been ripped apart and some had been blown half way across the camp ground. The stakes held the tent in place (it was a high-profile tent). Thank you for providing excellent customer service.
These are built to last and are extremely sturdy. I used these instead of the cheap, thin tent stakes that came with my tent. I was at a campsite where the ground was extremely hard, compacted, and rocky. Due to the type of ground, these had a difficult time. They didn't budge at all, and everything was kept in place. Because of the ground, they had a hard time getting back out. I tried hammering them sideways to loosen them up, but they wouldn't budge. Other stakes I had on the site didn't fare as well, and they're now trash. To replace them, I bought more. The only disadvantage is that they are heavy, making them unsuitable for backpacking. These stakes are unlike any other I've used in terms of dependability. I 100% would recommend it and would purchase it again.
Stakes provided with Coleman tents are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy These did not budge and perfectly supported our tent. When I tried to pull it from the ground by hooking my camp hammer into the "o," it bent on the upper "O" part, but after that I always pulled up by the stronger upper part, which is solid metal at a square angle, and had no problems. So far, so good, and a huge improvement over the stakes that came with the kit and bent during our practice on a soft lawn.
So far, I've only used them once, but they performed admirably in the wet clay-based soil I had. There were numerous tree roots to be found. These heavy-duty stakes, on the other hand, didn't have any issues.
I didn't require or desire extremely long stakes, but I knew that small 6" jobies would be useless. They'd still have points, but you understand what I'm getting at. In any case, these ideas are, in my opinion, near-perfect. They helped me secure the corners of a tarped, light-weight pvc chicken run/day-care center. On windy days or when we're going to be gone for the day, we use the tractor. br>br>I like that they don't break or bend easily, and that they have a hole through which you can run paracord. These were delivered in an incredibly short amount of time. I'd have to be incredibly desperate to go out and buy something else. Five out of five stars! Update; br>br> I purchased some more for my new pop-up tent, which will be delivered in May 2021. They're still one of my favorites!.
Oh, my goodness! These things are strong enough to hold a car down in a tornado! They are made to last a lifetime, which can be a drawback. Because the points on them are extremely sharp, finding a place to store them is a challenge. You won't want to take them backpacking because they're so heavy. These are ideal for securing a large, non-moving tent. They won't be blown away by the wind!.
Previously, no matter how hard we tried to keep the tree anchored, it would blow over. br>These 8" tent stakes were an excellent choice! Even in high winds, the stakes kept the metal plate and the tree in place. They went in with ease, and they came out with ease, even when the ground was still frozen solid in January. For next year, we kept them in the tree's included bag.
It's probably still early in the season. So far, the stakes that are supposed to be 12 inches long are only 8 inches long. For my purposes, it is completely useless. As advertised in large bold red letters, the expected size is 12 inch.
