A hammock may be interesting, but I wouldn't recommend it.
A seam seal is not present on this shelter. SilNet, which you can find on Amazon, is a tool you can use yourself to accomplish this.
Made of 15d Silicon Nylon, the Gatewood Cape has a distinctive design. There is a permeability rating of 2000 mm for this fabric. All seams of the cape are not sealed at the factory, therefore you will need to seal them with a nylon seam sealer. Here is an Amazon link that leads you to a compatible seam sealer.

As my secondary shelter layer over my bivvie, it provides a protected area where I can place my gear and cover my exit from the bivvie during the rainy season. It's a lightweight material, so it's sometimes hard to set up. You're worried about accidentally tearing it because it's so thin and lightweight. I have never experienced a humid environment where this device did not maintain heat. This is a bit of a drawback in my opinion, since a secondary use for it is to act as a rain poncho, and well, if it's raining it's probably humid outside. If your environment is cold during the winter, I doubt that this would greatly aid in the retention of heat. In fact, I noticed that the inside had condensed heavily over the past few nights. Although I am not sure if this was as a result of the thermal retention or the mist and rain that evening.
An amazing product! A tent that fits in your pocket with plenty of room for those over 6 feet. There is one downside The poncho can snag and tear if more than one person uses it. It happened that condensation formed, but it was not a problem.
I highly recommend this product because it's convenient, convenient, and useful. Perhaps we would like to walk the Camino de.
Why was that? This has been purchased to pair with the serenity net. With this low-intensity shelter, you're going to find a short length of cord at each attachment point, which isn't very helpful for somebody with no It turns out that this once came with rigging attached to the guy-out tabs. I found it on YouTube.
