Questions & Answers

Is it necessary to have beach chairs for it to function?

Our chairs are not necessary because we use the table without them. For us to use when our little one is outside, it is ideal. You can relax on a few blankets and sheets

Is it a carryon item that can be taken on a plane?

I have never been asked such a great question! If you are wondering whether an airline will carry luggage, you must inquire with the airline. I know the parameters for “carry-on” It will be in your I would think it might exceed the length limit. It fits the weight category, but I suppose it could exceed the length limit. To the best of my ability, I would encourage you to contact the airline directly.

Can you tell me how the tent material fares with regard to UPF?

UPF rating does not appear to be present. It doesn't seem to do that from what I read. That was the best part of it, since it was so quick and easy to put up and down myself. Although I did buy durable side panels with high UPF ratings to go with my EZ10x10 pop up tent. As my friends that sat under it told me, the shade kept it cooler than the 85 degrees.

If you want a private change of clothes, is the front of the cabinet closed?

It is technically true that the porch does not close, but many customers find a way to get around this. It is recommended that you choose the Lightspeed Outdoors Sun Shelter if you are looking for a shelter whose porch can be closed for privacy.

Selected User Reviews For Lightspeed Outdoors Quick Cabana Beach Tent Sun Shelter

It's light weight and very quick to set up
5/5

We have been pretty happy with the performance of the Coleman sun shelter for our beach outings over the last year. I was intrigued by both this Lightspeed Outdoor shelter and the Coleman shelter that were being offered on "Prime Day" 2016, so I selected this one to test out. In the beginning, I was going to purchase this tent last year, but I opted to go with the Coleman because it was less expensive. If you're considering buying one of these for the beach or other outings to provide some shade, then you might want to think about these two. Among the things I like about the Coleman is the ability to zip up the porch area. It gives you a place to change clothes and gives you a clean changing area at the beach. There is no question that the Lightspeed cabana is a lot easier and faster to put together than traditional one. The Coleman can take up to 5 people (in windy conditions and depending on anyone you have to help you) I'll post this one in 60 seconds instead of 10 minutes. It reminds me in a lot of ways of an umbrella in terms of design. By standing the tent so that the center hub points to the sky, you unfold it out, and then raise a lower hub to the stationary top hub and voila! Your tent is ready. Shelter that accelerates at light speed. As you can see, it does require a bit of strength to bring this lower hub up to the top hub. In a few reviews, I read that some had difficulty with this step, and I can understand their frustration. There is not so much a problem with it being too difficult for me, rather I have been trying to be so cautious despite its being difficult. In order for the tent fabric to be attached to the frame, poles, sliding mechanisms, and other attachment devices are made Whenever the frame of an umbrella is bent or breaks, we all know what happens. Throwing the umbrella is the right thing to do. I certainly don't want to go down this path. In all fairness, I am being overly protective, but I think the frame is sturdy enough to handle the work, and just putting a bit of pressure on the hardware will help it to pop into place. It was a delight to find that this shelter offered enough space for our two chairs and there was enough room left over to store other items as well. While you don't get much shade from the Coleman, having a slightly lower ceiling makes it more comfortable and will allow you to stay out of Shelters fitted with tent stakes have three window flaps, a netted storage pocket, and two guy lines for the roof. Those stakes are small plastic ones, but I will take a couple of my metal stakes for the beach as well. There is also an external pouch you can fill with sand to weigh it down. The tent is sewn with sewn-in pouches on the outside. A tent bag is included in the package, but it is slightly oversized, so it is very light to carry around. The bag I get is usually a lot bigger than what I need because I can't stand having to fit something into a tiny bag (I can't shrink the bag back down to its original It is notable that the Coleman and the Lightspeed are different in that the Coleman does not allow you to zip up the porch for privacy during changing. Although you can easily make some adjustments to make it capable of that, I have found that you can easily modify it to do that. By folding the porch area up and clamping it to the front poles, the front porch area can be nicely framed. A tent erected on my living room floor proved this to be true. I was only testing to see if the porch area fabric would be wide/tall enough to cover the open space of the shelter during the first test. The answer is yes. For the test, I used clothes pins, but on the beach I will probably use a lighter clamp that has a stronger spring. It is important for it to be strong enough to hold it temporarily in the wind but not too heavy that it would damage the poles or cause them to bend. I plan to take this one and the Coleman to the beach with me on a family outing coming up in a few weeks. In the first, my wife and I will use it, and my son can use the second. They're both nice, but this one sets up much quicker and can even be closed up so that it can function as a changing room with a little modification. The following is an updated version of the July 24, 2016 update

I took this to the beach and it was really effective. This shade shelter is out of the bag and up in seconds, as opposed to other types of shelters that require much effort. Here is a picture of this "porch area" that gets very hot and is obviously very sanded. I believe I will keep this portion of the shelter folded into the shelter when we go to the beach in a couple of weeks, thus providing some sort of double floor inside the shelter. Since we will be seated on chairs further inside the tent, having the front flap extended far out is not necessary. Moreover, I think this will reduce the amount of sand that collects on the inside and make cleaning much easier. The tent was cleaned by my wife and me simply getting on one side of it and lifting it up and dumping out the loose sand. Nevertheless, you should keep the sand far from others so that it doesn't blow around. As soon as we got home, I popped it back into the back yard and brushed out the rest of the sand. Be sure to brush over the leg/joint areas as well, to avoid damaging them. Despite some technical difficulties, the performance was quite good. The shed provided a place for stuff to be stored out of the sun and a place for shade.

It is easy to set up, is made of quality materials, and is strong in windy conditions
5/5

It's easy to set up, and it's fast too. I staked down strings on the side facing the wind to keep the awning from blowing away (the gusts of wind swept through consistently for 7 straight hours). I think this product is worth the money if you plan on using it more than once or twice per It would only make sense to buy an improved set of stakes if I had a suggestion. Stakes are not as good as the ones it comes with because they are made of plastic. Additionally, they only supply you with eight stakes when in fact you can use 10 rather than eight if you stake down all sides and the.

It is not OK to drive in the rain
3/5

Though I didn't intend to hate on this beach tent, it says in its description that it also has a 450mm PU coating that is suitable for wet conditions. This was our first trip to the beach, and it ended up being a huge As I pounded the stakes into the wet sand, the tent set up easily. Shade was good, but then a surprise rain storm came in and it started pouring (at least it seemed to). I find this to be the most distressing part of the bag. The side and rear vents do not It consists of flaps with velcro on the bottom that are rolled up and fixed in place with an elastic band. It means that rainwater can just pour (literally pour) directly into the tent when it rains. Throughout the tent, these vents make excellent use of the canopy's very center/top to channel water down directly INTO THE TENT. As soon as we got our towels and other wet-looking items, we had to put them in a storage space Car items that need to be kept safe. We were constantly trying to let the water flow out the front of the tent as quickly as possible. We were constantly trying to lift the bottom to get the water to run out. As soon as we put all of the stuff in the car and gave up on bailing water from the tent, we ventured outside to walk in the rain and realized it had rained. Even though it wasn't like it was raining that hard, the water channeled directly in the tent and made it seem like a downpour. I want to tell you something. There is an umbrella-rated 450mm PU coating for wet conditions that I would probably give this 5 stars if they did not say so. It was tricked into thinking it would be okay to go out in the rain, and that influenced my In terms of technical terms, no water seeped through any other parts of the tent so those are absolutely meeting the criteria. The tent would be useless if it were raining. We often go to the beach when we are in Florida, where it rains a lot. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the outcome. That being said, if you plan to use this tent primarily for shade and it is always sunny, then it is The pros are It is very fast in terms of setting up
An impressive feature for a front tarp to be long and have a fairly particular design
- There are two side pockets on the inside where you can store small items (the phone or keys)
* * * It maintains its performance in a windy environment (sub-20mph gusts)* * * * Con I hate rain - it's terrible - terrible - terrifying - The flaps are attached with Velcro, and they are not zippered (major issue during the rainy season)* A dark colored tarp stretches out in front of you on the Blue/Gray model. It will get extremely hot whenever it is exposed to It would have been better if I had considered this when I placed the order. As the blue tarp seems to be lighter and shouldn't have the same problem as the key lime tarp, the blue tarp should be okay. Please note - One person should be able to fit inside the carrying bag but it is challenging to roll up and fit. The result is a little disappointing on the whole. It seems cheap to have flaps on the front. While it is essential that it doesn't rain, you should be able to build a nice.

We used this cabana for 9 seasons and it served us well
5/5

Another one needs to be bought! Back when we first came to America, there was another brand of beach cabana - Is it possible that Coleman was the one? I found putting it together very difficult It took you some time to thread the poles through the fabric tunnels after assembling the poles. In addition, sand would get inside the ends of the poles, which meant the poles wouldn't fit together properly, and as soon as they were assembled, they still wouldn't fit into the tunnels easily. The Lightspeed Quick Cabana replaced it in 2012 after we decided we would no longer pursue that item. Lightspeed has been a great product for us. The pop-up really does just appear- A pole may not be assembled or threaded through a tunnel. As easy as taking it down, it's easy to put it up again. From the sandbags that anchor the cabana to the beach, to the wide front porch, to the five tiers of ice, everything has been thought out to the last detail You can put sunglasses in the two pockets and other essentials in the windows. It is only fitting that this summer, the cabana's 9th season of faithful service comes to an end when two of the poles break. It is true that plastic eventually becomes dry and brittle. As soon as we get back from our vacation, we will order a second Lightspeed Quick Cabana* There is nothing better than this product.
