Questions & Answers

What are the steps involved in setting it Do you have to tie a lot of knots?

You can easily set it You can attach a ridgeline to the trees with the ridgeline that comes with it. The rainfly ridgeline serves as a hanger for it.

Are you able to use this with the Eno ?

As far as I can tell, it shouldn't. In addition to its length and width, my single hammock has a great deal of extra space - You should be able to use it over almost any hammock if you rig it up properly. This is a huge net.

Camping with a hammock in this hammock is great
5/5

As the largest hammock bug net on the market, I felt it would be perfect for my Fox Outfitters Neolite double hammock as it seemed to me to be one of the best. In the hammock I used a double hammock not because I am large, but because I liked the extra space it provided. The difficult part had been finding a mosquito net that fit my vehicle because there were so few effective ones out there. During a recent 3 day camping trip in a location that received a lot of rain, I used this hammock bug net to protect myself from insects. Due to this, the mosquitoes were out in full force as a result of standing water. My hammock allowed me to get a good night's sleep in the midst of no mosquitoes. I did not have to worry about the netting falling in my face when I slept. In my opinion, the only complaint I would make regarding this hammock bug net is that I did not feel it was secured tight enough on its own at the ends where the nets are pulled through the hammock. As a result, I tied my paracord even tighter around the bottom of the bag. This really isn't an issue for me, but you may want to think it through if it is for Those who have experience camping in hammocks will find this product to be very useful. It is easy to learn how to create an effective ridge line and adjust while hanging the hammock if you aren't already an expert at it, but it is necessary to do so in order to get this to work. The two trees closest to each other are typically ideal for hanging the 10'6" long double hammock that I own. To cinch the rope tight, I tie the first end off with a taut line hitch, adjust the height to about 8' off the ground, and tie a tight knot. By tying off the other end with a double half hitch, I can ensure that the rope is tight against the tree, and can tighten as necessary The knots at either end differ from one another for what reason? In a taut line hitch you pull/push the knot toward the tree, which tightens it around the tree or pole while you move it. In contrast, the double half hitch adjusts by pulling the knot away from the pole or tree. Because there are two knots that adjust differently, your ridgeline can be adjusted perfect thanks to this knot. As a general rule, if you plan to use a rain fly over your hammock, you should hang it after establishing the ridge line so that the ridgeline can support both the hammock bug net and the rainfly if maintained properly. In my case, the rainfly has paracord already built into it, so it can be hung independently of the bug net ridgeline. Hanging it over one that is required to hang the bug net does not hurt anything, though. It is now time to hang the hammock bug net over the ridge line using the hooks on the top of the net. If you do this, I recommend that the bug net is zipped shut. On either edge near the top, there will be an opening, and the sewn-on ends will not be visible We are hoping that the stuff sack will drag the ground at the bottom. The stuff sack should be tight with little slack if it is hanging down from the ridge line. If it is hanging down from the ridge line, make sure your ridge line is high enough. You should hang one end of your hammock as you normally would after you attach your hammock bug net to the ridgeline. The straps are typically tied to trees or a knotted rope is looped around the tree. A carabiner typically secures to the loops or tree straps at the loose ends, and the hammock would be hung off a ring tied to the ends with a rope. The other end of the hammock should be slid through one opening of the hammock bug net all the way through the netting and out of the opening on the opposite end after you have secured one end to the tree. You can now secure the end of your hammock that you pulled through the net to your tree in the same manner.

Now that you have secured the end of your hammock to your tree, you can adjust the hang of your hammock/hammock Hang your hammock so that it is positioned the way you like it, and then cinch the hammock bug net at either end so that your hammock can extend At the ends of those cords, there are plastic cord cinchers which, when pulled tight, close the cords. With the bug net now completely covering your hammock, you should be able to sleep quietly. You should be able to unzip the side of the bug net, climb in, and enjoy it at this point. The only potential "hang-up" is a minor one As a hammock bug net for camping in a hammock, this is a great product.

This is a great product for the price
3/5

The problem is. This bug net is worth the price for its overall quality. Despite this, however. I. 1. Bottom of the box has a HUGE hole! (it's a large size for a bug net) It looks like a manufacture defect where the machine didn't catch all of the material (please see photos). I was quite upset about this since I like this bud net very much. The second is. This is the clincher Closes tight enough around support straps but not snug enough to hold the ends together. In order to keep bugs from entering these holes, I need to fill them with something (e. g. , sand, gravel, epoxy, foam). It is these ants that climb down the The ends would have closed much more tightly if a different material had been used instead of the extremely thick material used. Argon 90 would also have been lightweight and would be much more durable. Having said that, let's sum it up. It is a great noseeum material. I like it because it is both soft and light, but also durable and doesn't allow any bugs to enter! Featuring a quality zipper and ridgeline, as well as a convenient stuff sack, the backpack is great for bike touring. I'd usually give my overall rating a 4 star, but the two problems I've mentioned make me reduce it.

A Deed to The Boundary Waters Has Been Approved
5/5

Better than ENO in terms of price. It is almost the same thing as the Eno bug net and is of same quality. I used it alongside the other person who has the Eno bug net. I recommend this bug net over the ENO brand. I used this on a trip to the boundary waters that lasts four days and four nights.

The price is reasonable, however, if you are looking for a net that is very lightweight you might want to look somewhere else
4/5

The clothing appears to be reasonably high quality (no holes, the stitching looks good, the zipper functions, and the fabric does not feel cheap). When you figure out that you need to set your guy line quite a bit up from your straps and tighten it up, it's pretty simple to set up. There's a noticeable amount of netting for a bug net, not too heavy, but noticeably heavier than others. Because of the plastic clips on the lines and the thick material at the ends, this is likely to be the case. It's definitely roomy, it actually hangs all the way to the ground for me which makes getting in and out easier for me. (I agree with another review about the end material being too thick and making it difficult to close around the straps all the way) As a result, it works wonderfully as part of my double-checking system The nest that TNH Outdoors provides.

For the price I paid for this bug net, I couldn't make a better one myself
5/5

Fabric from RipStop by the Roll was used to make a gathered end hammock for hot weather camping, that measures 12' long, 6' wide and features a gathered end. As far as I am concerned, I did all of the sewing myself and I am pleased with the quality and comfort of the finished product. I was going to make my own bug net, but I found this one on Amazon instead. Since I couldn't buy the material for what the one I wanted to buy still sold faraway, I thought I could make it work. The 12' hammock bug net shown here is the real deal. I've found it to be the perfect size for my hammock. My two other hammocks come with bug nets, but I rarely need to wear one by day, except perhaps during the night, because of the heat. In addition to adding a degree of warmth to a room at night, this bug net also adds a welcome layer of protection. It is easy to see right through the black netting, since it is black. The bug net on this bug net did not block my view of the stars in my hotel room at Lake Falcon, near Roma, Texas, during a recent three night stay there. My stargazing improved significantly when I had a bug net on in the evenings, as the net only needed to come on at night. Despite my negative review, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would likely recommend this product to others.

Unbeknownst to me, I had received a defective net and was not able to identify it until I was already at my campsite
3/5

Imagine my surprise when I installed the net only to find that the zipper did not Yeah, I agree. The hammock literally did not have a way to enter it or leave it. Having no other alternative, I broke the zipper track teeth to get in and used reusable zip ties to secure myself in the room How big of a deal is this? Because I was able to save myself because I was fortunate enough to think ahead. Was your network able to come up with a solution? Yes, of course! It was very quick and easy to set up and I didn't have any bugs at night (once I stowed the zip ties at the entrance). There would be no reason to rate this lower if the huge glaring flaw wasn't present. What kind of mind could miss such a thing?.
