This is what I learned from sleeping in the bag and a video overview of how it is made
5/5

If you may There is a lot of thought and care that went into making this emergency bag The gear you made is great to have with all of It is not meant to imply that it does not As someone who slept in it when freezing temperatures occurred, I can tell you that I was not even close to being as comfortable or warm as I had been in even a lightweight sleeping The bag is certainly lighter and more compact than my lightest down bag, weighing just over 6 ounces. Nevertheless, I'd choose the light sleeping bag over anything else on any given day. It is amazing how small and light this sleeping bag is, how durable it is, how it can be used as a bivy sack to raise the temperature of any other sleeping system, and how it is similar to actual gear. I'd like to lay out one more point, which is that you can put your blankets or sleeping bags inside of this bag, or the bag itself inside your other sleeping system, and it will significantly raise your temperature and comfort during the sense, I think that this bag could save a lot of lives in cold temperatures. Besides learning about the world from this bag, I learned how to sleep without a mattress The only thing you could do to prevent suffocation is to pull your head inside and close the top of the bag, just like you would in a sleeping Please remember that this is a glorified version of a living, breathing human This is the size of a garbage It is similar to a body bag, in real life This bag is so narrow you will be unable to breath inside I had to wear my heavy winter jacket to bed, because air infiltration was an issue around my neck and shoulders, and I had to wear my winter hat to stay The best way of keeping warm was bundling up in a fetal position (on my side) and pulling the bottom of the bag under me. This enabled me to have less area to inhale heat and allow for proper heat retention. As compared to a bivy sack or regular sleeping bag, this bag does not breathe like GoreTex. In other words, moisture built up overnight in the bag. If I were in a survival situation, I would not be bothered by that, as I would still be alive to complain about the moisture the next Nevertheless, if you are planning to use this as a piece of backpacking gear, you may want to keep in mind that the bag will need to be dried out during the daytime hours to prevent There was no problem with the temperature inside the bag, even when it was As I wanted to see how cold I could stand, I slept in a tent with all the flaps open. The ground was the coldest thing I had to deal with because I was on a sleeping pad. It's a small point, but this bag makes a lot of noise when you're walking. By moving about, I was able to wake myself up. A person sleeping in this bag will probably go crazy if they are in a tent with others. You have to roll this bag very tightly from the bottom, and then unroll and fold it to fit back into its stuff sack. I found you have to unroll and fold it to get it to fit in the stuff sack. However, when it's back in the sack, it's rather compact, so I'm grateful to have it despite its limitations. As I said in my video, I'm glad to have this bag. I'll keep it with my emergency supplies, and I can rest assured that it will be there whenever I need it. As an alternative, I would consider taking it to a high-altitude vacation in the summer. The country was cold enough for me to carry only my lightest sleeping bag, but I also brought this bivy sack for cold nights when I had to sleep at high altitudes. There's no need to worry about wearing holes in it or ripping it, because it's tough enough to withstand such abuse. I. B. * I. I purchased it after doing some comparison shopping.

Today, I saved the life of a woman with the help of this product
5/5

Today, I saved the life of a woman with the help of this product. My car was hit this morning by the car that was driving in front of me when I was on the freeway. We had to lay down one of the passengers because she was in shock. Cold weather has been threatening lately, and it wouldn't be wise to put a shocked patient on the ground. Putting it back in the car, I remembered that it was in there. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, it kept the patient warm. ***I can honestly confirm that this product performs as described.

Travelers who engage in outdoor activities should keep one in their backpack
5/5

The sleeping bags I bought last winter for a homeless person and I highly recommend them. I bought one for myself and bought one for the homeless person. I asked him when he would open the window to exchange air to cool off if he got too warm.

Getting cheap insurance is a good idea
4/5

The quality of this is far superior to the little blankets we used to use. If you could visualize a space blanket reshaped into a sleeping bag, imagine how much larger and much more comfortable it would be. Due to the three sides being sealed, you can climb inside this thing and get out of the rain, and because it reflects back your body heat, you could even survive a cold night in it if needed. Do I have an actual survival experience with this? Not at all. Even though I hope to live to the end of my days, I hope that I never have to spend a night inside The Mylar material does not breathe, so you would certainly feel clammy and uncomfortable if you spent time inside it is built to keep you alive, not for comfort. I keep a few in the car in case I get stranded in a blizzard and I always bring one when I take day hikes in case I wind up spending the night in the woods. Your chances of ever needing this are slim. The pack is small and lightweight, and almost no room is occupied by it in a day pack. Anyone who spends any time outdoors or who drives a car in cold weather will find this insurance to be good and cheap. you're unsure whether to buy it or not, go ahead and buy.

A GOOD ITEM FOR AN The material was much better than some of my previous Mylar sleeping bags and I was immediately impressed with the quality! It's ideal for just about any emergency situation, or you can even go camping on a whim
5/5

with a diameter of about 3" and a length of 6", packed with a stuff sack which weighs only five ounces, makes it great for traveling. This day pack weighs only 8 ounces, making it ideal for a day trip or overnight trip! If temperatures drop extremely low, it can also be used as a liner if you need a regular sleeping bag. Make sure there is one or two in the emergency kit in your vehicle. There are times when it's fun just to see how light you can go for an overnight trip- We are very happy with this emergency sleeping bag that is reusable if you take good care of it. It scores extra points right from the get-go for that alone! It will be winter soon and emergencies will occur. The Mylar emergency blankets, often called space blankets, can also be made into emergency sleeping bags by taping two together with duct tape, either Mylar duct tape or regular duct tape, in the past! It's really hard to understand why they doubled the price so quickly! REORDER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED for that reason! The past few days have been full of that! Update Here's a couple of new details. Over the last three months, the price has more than doubled and now lowered since my order on There are 27 days left until the end of the year. Fortunately, now the price has been lowered again by a few bucks, so I may be able to order for the scouts. Due to the fact that their project involved making emergency kits for themselves and friends and family members, they were more upset than I was about the price increase! Whatever happened with the price of the particular emergency sleeping bag, it is still a decent sleeping bag that will keep you warm and not make you feel like you are sleeping under a hard candy wrapper. Take the time to prepare!.

The material reflects body heat well and is a good alternative
5/5

With this, you're getting the same result for a much lower cost than with the SOL. Even though it has a bit more weight than the SOL (which I also have), the functionality is the same. When I need it, I have this one in my get home bag, and I am confident it won't let me down. As a general rule, it is best to keep your head out of the bag. Moisture in your breath will condense in the air bag and cause it to become wet.
