Can anyone tell me if they have actually used this in cold weather? In the event of a bit of a chill while tent camping, am I planning on buying it?

In my car, I always have 2 of these available in case of an emergency in the winter. In the winter of 1978, I had the opportunity to learn more about the topic as a Mt Washington Search and Rescue member I was a volunteer rescuer in New Hampshire when I located four people experiencing great difficulty along the south eastern ridge of Mount The helicopter I requested was on a 2-way radio. With a -23 degree drop in temperature I was comfortable even with the tops of both Bivy bags pulled over my head when it was 80 below zero F for 24 hours. My feet were covered in snow beneath the limbs of a Spruce tree as I tried to keep the snow from Once the winds died, I climbed out of the cabin with an emergency aviation radio beacon, and turned it on. Obviously, I bought ten of them as a donation to the homeless living on the streets. The bottom line is that I hope it will do what it says, because my heart broke in Buffalo when we found a woman sleeping (naked) on the cold, wet ground under the SKYWAY Having no protection from the weather Not even a corner or wall could have sheltered her from the sun. Her blankets were covering her for about ten blankets when she was out in the open under a gigantic bridge. In the middle of all the garbage scattered about and large puddles of water, her mattress was just lying on the wet ground. A couch that was used by another homeless individual was located about 10 feet away from her. In 2020, we went out to celebrate New Year's Eve. The fact that I couldn't give her a roof over her head and a place to live broke my heart The four walls of the house.

It is not commonly known that helicopters have heat infrared scopes and use them to locate people as they fly over neighborhoods and especially in the woods. The blankets and sleeping bags they use to detect human heat block 90% of your You can even cover it up with dirt or sand to make it work even better! This could save your life when you don't have any other way to stay warm. It was freezing cold and wet when I was in it, so I wish I could have something like this now The safety blankets and this cushion mean I don't have to worry about it right now. If I need to use them, I hope to have them on hand.

The same reason is true for the other friend who bought it for me, namely because "Bivy" is sort of an inside joke and also she can keep it in her emergency bag. An envelope. While it was inexpensive and I liked that it served multiple needs as well as a whistle, unfortunately it did not seem like it would last long or withstand much turbulent weather conditions.
