After a bit of time, it turns into a sticky, gummy film that is difficult to remove. Since I stopped using the stuff, I don't use it anymore. It also corrodes or discolors 80CRV2 steel, so do not use it on your fine
This is a far superior product. CC Industrial Supply, Inc. is currently using and testing this product for the Army. VAV (Veteran Owned Business
As far as bike parts go, I haven't tried it. On the other hand, I used it on a weapon that I bought cheaply and poorly maintained. As well as removing the rust from the screws that held the scales on the grip, it also prevented the screws from rusting again in the future. The capabilities of froglube can be seen in a number of videos. They are definitely worth checking It is best to wipe it off after heat treating, since it will hold dust and grime. Once it has been heat treated, don't put too much on, because it will hold dust. Lubricant remains on the surface after it is sprayed.

When using it as directed, I applied it to a warm surface, waited for it to dry, then wiped off any leftover A result of perhaps 1000 rounds of friction is EXCESSIVE WEAR on the friction surfaces. I then lubricated the friction surfaces a bit more by lusting a drop of this lube and spreading it with my fingers after all was said and The result is a honey-like substance There is a thick syrup-like substance forming on everything and everything is moving like in a thick solution.
And then there is this The catch in some models makes it impossible to properly lubricate the slide without getting some oil on the firing pin, as the firing pin stopper is designed to function like a slide.
The stuff in this kit is explicitly designed not to come close to firing pins. The glue will stick to it, they know. It was not clear to me, so I greased the firing pin channel and it was completely sealed. My only choice was to wash everything with alcohol, and ironically, it washed the RUST out of the firing pin channel. We live in a very dry climate and are building a new FA in our property. In so far as we know Here's how. Heat is not worth the trouble. This stuff is too hard to keep off of the slide's back, which needs to be protected. The results would be the following if you used too little This is a non-lubricating device and you will experience excessive wear*4. When you put 2 drops more on, it cures like a syrup and it binds everything together
5. Rust was not prevented. Here are the best ways to use this product Dispose of this stuff in the trash, wash everything with alcohol, lubricate with motor oil It's a pro If you want a non-commercial account, select 7 A toxic substance.
It is an absolute waste of time and money. Once the finish has been on for a few weeks/months it looks sloppy. A gun can eject this, resulting in slam fires and accidental discharges if it gets in the channel where the firing pin travels. Considering how many lawsuits they've been hit with, I'm surprised they haven't filed for bankruptcy.
I started using it in 2013 and it has never let me down. When I first got bored with the cleaning techniques that CLP products offered, I decided to try it out myself, mainly because my wife had just begun shooting and hated having to use the "CLP" products. Frog Lube's website provided detailed directions, and I used them to undo every bit of cleaning I had ever performed on two A brand new pistol (never fired) that I had also conducted an initial cleaning and Frog Lube regimen for was cleaned and lubed as well. In addition to these weapons, we treated The following Colt LE6920 MPBFDE is included A single anodized Mini-Br> The 14 features overmolded stock from Hogue. The following are one type of Ruger SR- 40 (New) and 1x FNS40 9C (Wife's pistol, new)
Initial cleaning (or should I say- For the 2 pistols, it took the better part of an hour, since they had just been oiled, and it was less difficult to remove the factory oil on them. The weapons (disassembled only metal parts) were placed securely on a cookie sheet, which was baked in an oven set to 170°F (wife's idea). Our application for FL was started after we left the students for about 25 minutes. Frog Lube was used to coat the metal pieces after they had been removed from the oven. A paste as well as a liquid were both tried. All of these constituents were applied to a microfiber cloth, and the weapon parts were then thoroughly cleaned. In our experiments, we found that the paste melted into a liquid as soon as it touched the hot metal, but that the paste was easier to apply into small areas with a Q-tip Tips (Such as the polymer lower part of both pistols that weren't This FL application was completed very thoroughly by our team. Metal got coated and wiped down if it was made of metal. All parts were reassembled and the function check was performed after everything had cooled and excess was removed. The first trip to the range with four fresh lubed firearms went very smoothly, and I think if it weren't for a fresh minty smell on my hands, you would have been unable to tell you hadn't used any other weapon lube before. After 20+ years of shooting, I can safely say that this lube performed as well as any other product I have used. As soon as we arrived at home and it was time to disassemble and clean everything, that's when our real change began. All items were cleaned with a damp cloth. Those were the only two things to say. This was so easy that I cannot begin to describe it. We just cleaned every angle of the weapon (including the bore, chamber, Through each weapon's barrel, I ran bore snakes (new ones, devoid of any type of CLP) and every barrel looked like it had just been manufactured. There is no residue anywhere on any weapon due to the lack of scrubbing. I used this product because it had a wintergreen mint scent that was pleasant to use compared to anything else. I took the next test while I was in the United States. During December/January 2013/2014, Michigan was among the top eight states in the nation. We have a house and approximately 200 acres of land that we use for vacations, etc. , and I wanted to find out how Frog Lube held up in cold weather. Honestly, I did not plan on the extreme test we could give it, but it worked just fine. In late 2013 and early 2014 there was a "Polar Vortex. " You might remember it. When we were in the north, we happened to be there. Frog Lube has been tested in the following ways A few days have been in the 30°F range. Have you had any luck with the FL solidifying? The answer is yes, it Could it have caused any malfunctions with the weapon? Not at all. While firing the weapons, the temperature of the weapon would rise enough to melt the solidified FL, and then the FL would solidify when the weapon cooled off. As soon as we got back inside and disassembled everything to clean it, the cleaning process was as easy as before. You can clean everything, run a bore snake through the barrel, and your barrel should be good to go. In order to use FL on all weapons now, I have to create a weapon panel. We make everything from lever actions to semi-autos to pistols, so you name it, we made it. FL makes my hands feel so soft and minty fresh we no longer wear gloves when applying it to anything, and my wife has become addicted to cleaning her weapons with it now. Whenever I have cleaned a gun, I wipe it down with that Microfiber cloth as well as the wood stock and my Lever action. In terms of long term storage of weapons without firing, I have no information to share. Frog Lubbing one weapon for 6 months is the longest time it has gone with me going without using it. During the testing, it showed no symptoms of disease You may not consider 6 months to be long term if you think effects last only six months. There is no other lube that I recommend more than Frog Lube. Make sure you follow the directions to the letter. Spend as much as you can. Make sure you thoroughly clean every single thing the first time. In any case, I have found it to be so. As a result, I now apply FL once a year for all weapons. However, this is more likely to be unnecessary. reapply every now and then, depending on what I think it needs. It has been a long time since I've written. I apologize for the lengthy review, if anyone has any questions, please let me know.
In the case of barrel maintenance, FL is my favorite product, and I turn to it when I need to clean heavily fouled bores and protect clean bores from rust. Only in desperate cases when no other options are available have I used it as a lube. Unless I perform the necessary preparation and seasoning of the components and parts in accordance with the FL instructions, I will use it more as a lube. My experience has been with the gunk up of small parts when I used it incorrectly during the winter in Michigan, so if you are smart with this product, you will be satisfied.
Despite working immediately, it becomes sticky with oxidation, and it becomes sticky with contact. As the lube begins to putrefy and rot, it will lose its scent, so be sure to remove it from your firearms prior to storing them. A non-profit organization This product was toxic, but it should have gone through a long-term study The product must go through long-term testing and be put on the line in self-defence situations before it is made available.
As a relatively new owner I was hesitant to go over all of my pistols to this cleaning, lubrication, and protection item. But, after one year of using it on my plinking gun, I made the switch and changed all of my pistols. If you are going to season the firearm, make sure to soak it in alcohol first. It has been much easier for the firearms to operate after seasoning. As the firearm warms up during shooting, the mechanism works better. Do you worry that it might gum up if used in cold weather? I have no problem with that. Cleanup no longer requires toxic chemicals so I appreciate the pleasant smell and the fact that I do not have to deal with toxic chemicals. This stuff seems to prevent the build-up of lead and powder when it comes to cleaning. I have been receiving a great deal of praise for the product, and while my shooting buddies have not stopped blasting me for changing The failures they have just keep me laughing I have never had any problems with my guns.
