Just no. Sorry, but I don't love this blanket.

I really, really want to love it. Reviewers read the reviews and I choose to buy based on the positive numbers (and ignore the negative reviews for the most part). This kit comes ready to use - no installation necessary I did not experience any of the bad odors that other reviewers mentioned. To be sure, there is a chemical smell, but nothing I am glad to see this. Several people commented on how beautiful the blanket was. Number two is a good sign. My cat, in his usual way, jumped up to see what was going on at this point. Then she rubbed and kneaded one last time and pulled a big clump of fluff out of the area. I do not like this. It's not a good sign at all. This was not an aggressive kneading. Initially, I was hesitant to give it a wash, concerned that it would ruin it, but as per the manufacturer's suggestion, I did so. So that was all there was to the As an informational note, I did use a front loading gentle cycle washer (I wouldn't recommend doing this in a top load agitator), but otherwise, the washer did not hold up to the task. Buying is not a good idea! The rating is 1, the highest possible. I have no idea what to say. There is no way you can sell this to the public. Even after three loads of laundry, there are still some chemicals stuck in it. I did laundry and here is what it looks like afterward Below is an image of what you will see.

My experience as a former Marine includes smelling blankets that were in storage and thought they were horrible. Having hung the blanket outside for a day, the blanket smells wonderful like it had just come off the line. It is durable and warm, and I intend to buy another one.

There was a strong smell of petrol in the room. When I called Amazon, they told me that it needed to be washed. I had washed it using only cold water, and then air dried it in my dryer, which ruined my washer and dryer, leaving behind very tiny hairs that I could not get out, and which are on all my clothing and bedding, giving me severe allergies It gets a minus when I give it If there were a possibility, I would rate it five stars. There has never been a product like this before. My Amazon account was kind enough to allow me to return it, so I am going to return it. The result has been severe allergies and excruciating headaches instead of the relief I was hoping for. I am very sad because I wanted this to work because I am cold at night.

Our goal was to have a heavy wool blanket to store in the trunk in case of emergency, but unfortunately, this was not the blanket The following two issues were deal breakers for us There is 1) a chemical In order to receive a good outcome, we followed other people's recommendations and immediately began cleaning the blanket with cold water and tumble drying it Chemical odors did not decrease much after two washes, and were disturbing enough for us to feel uncomfortable leaving it in the fridge. 2) Shedding. In two passes through the dryer, the blanket shed enough lint to fill a 3-gallon bucket nearly full. As we run through our high-speed system a second time When the blanket was washed in a high-efficiency front-loader washer, it shed enough to clog the washer's filter, causing a small amount of water to leak out. It has been over a year since we bought our washing machine, and we have washed all kinds of items in it, but this is the first time we have had a clogged When we cleaned out the washing machine, we considered taking the blanket to a laundromat to wash it again a couple more times to see if the chemical smell would disappear, but ultimately determined that this is not what a blanket that is supposed to do should behave like.

There is no noticeable odor in the blanket and it appears to be well-made. As a result of the three-day airing in my garage, I put it in the car as an emergency blanket for winter, and there is no scent in the car after that. Despite being "good and heavy," meaning that it won't slide off of a sheet or sleeping bag like synthetic fleece blankets do, the wool blanket I reviewed had a lot less loft than I would normally expect from a top quality wool item. The ability of a loft to trap warmth is based on the amount of trapped air. It is not my first blanket, but I do own another that has more loft than this. I also own Pendleton camp blankets, which are even better, but cost more than this. This amount is four times the amount. However, the low loft issue is easily overlooked for the price. It gets a four-star rating because of this. In the event I paid $100 for it, I would have given it fewer stars, but for $40 it's a great blanket. It's also big enough to cover two people in a tent, so the blanket can serve for two at once as well as sharing warmth between them. It was absolutely wonderful and exactly what I expected. I smell something foul, and the dog ran outside and hid behind the garage after smelling it. The ladies at a laundromat in a nearby strip mall wanted my blanket so I took it to them. As a homeless man said, he felt like he was back in the army. Despite being well made and perfectly cut, the blanket looks a bit shabby. I recommend putting a sheet or something smooth underneath it for a while, or To get the wool to warm up, wash it thoroughly with mild water and dry it on gentle in a front loader machine. Remember to not use an agitator because it will stretch the wool and ruin its warming properties. Now I just have to I wish each of you the best of luck.
