My primary use for it is to clean my firearms, but I also use it to clean my locks, hinges, and tools and machinery around the garage.
Cleaning my knives with it is my favorite use for it. The thin protective coating it leaves behind is pleasant to look at. There is something very similar to Benchmade's Blue Lube cleaner in this stuff, but it costs half as much.
Solvent of great quality. As far as cleaning my firearm goes, I'm completely confident in Prolix to do it correctly. I am very happy with the results.
In short, it's the story behind You can recycle this product since it is biodegradable.
Suitable for use as a gun lubricant and fishing gear lubricant.
A very effective cleaning agent to prepare the machine for lubrication.
It has worked well for me so far. The next time I run out of this one I will buy another.
Throughout 2009, I first became aware of Prolix and have been using it ever since. It is rare for me to write a review but I had to for this one. CLP (Cleaner, Lubricant, and Protectant) is the best in its class. My rifles and ALL of my guns are protected by it. This product dries to a "dry lubricant" and leaves a thin, invisible film on the gun. I have never had a spot of rust appear on any of them. It is simple to spray it onto a patch, run it through the bore, and let it As an added benefit, it leaves no strong smell on the gun, making it the best lubricant for hunters. Using it in a very humid environment like the one I live in down south has been very successful for me. If I could, I would give it a 10 out of 10. In addition to thicker versions for rails, they also have thinner versions. According to their website, one of the things you should do is dip the gun in the solution, and then let it drip back into a bucket or container. As soon as he dries the gun will be protected completely. If you like, you can use compressed air to spray off any excess. I LOVE THIS STUFF FOR HUNTING RIFLES!.
