Questions & Answers

The difference between the Izula and the AK-47?

There is no difference in the length of the blades of the two knives, and both There is one primary difference between the Izula 2 and the original, which is the longer handle that is better suited for A second advantage of the regular Izula is the canvas micarta handle scales, which are already installed on the knife. If you choose the Izula 2, you do not have to purchase the scales Thank you for your help!

How is the knife sheathed? Is the knife listed here supplied with a sheath? Thanks a lot. ?

However, it does not have the clip plate that allows it to be clipped to a belt. It is still a great setup primarily because it comes as a neck knife, and the sheath securely holds the blade in place.

What kind of wood are you able to baton ?

Due to the length of the blade, it is only suitable for thinner logs. Its batoning has been demonstrated in a number of YouTube videos. Splitting small logs is very easy as a result of its width and steel.

The sheath is made out of teflon Does your location work with ours?

Tech is a waste of time With its own PERFECT sheath and clip, it's the perfect little knife. However, if you're into that garbage clip then yes, it looks fine to me.

I've never had a knife live up to the hype
5/5

It is a great shorter knife that is almost as good as it appears. Most of my knives are fixed blades. I probably own over 50 personal working knives. As I wear/use a fixed blade for more than 18 hours a day, every day, all of them get used. I don't like "pretty things" Knives are on display in the boy's room. While my knives tend to be bigger than the Izula 2, I thought I'd give it a shot, after reading lots of reviews here and watching some videos on YouTube. had no idea things would turn out as well as they did. I like the feel of the handle, the blade has a nice coating, and it was razor-sharp when I received it. Although the sheath is actually quite good overall for a 'stock' sheath, it has a nice small profile. I was concerned about the belt clip, since many of the stock clips fail to hold its knife sufficiently (without problem). However, I was able to use the belt clip attachment that came with the knife for this Izula 2, as the spring tension is really strong on the clip. Having read your review, I was blown away.

I'm very pleased with the sheath that came with it, as it retains its shape and does not When you insert/extract your blade from the sheath, it leaves a dark black mark on both sides of your blade, however. This only happens with those who buy the Tan or OD Green colored blades. Inside the top part of the sheath, on the inside where the blade is held, I found two little nubs. Despite that, they tend to rub on the blade, leaving a black stain behind. It is easy to clean off, but you will probably still see the marks, and the protective coating will wear away. Most of my fixed blade knives have custom sheaths, because many of the stock sheaths don't meet my standards Par. II. My search for the perfect sheath began while I was still waiting for the knife. We found a great deal on a double This is a two-layered, layered structure This two-tone kydex sheath is made for the same price as most folks charge for a single layer Despite its great craftsmanship, DeepCreekCustoms did a great job on it and the knife is relatively inexpensive (about 1/3 the per knife price). One of the nice things is that I now have two really good sheaths to choose from, and they each serve a specific In my opinion, both sheaths work well for me. The stock sheath works well when I wear my knife on my pants or vest, and the custom sheath works great when I wear it attached to my pack or other My experience with this knife doesn't warrant an evaluation of its functionality as I have only had it for a few weeks. In most other reviews, the majority of that has already been covered pretty well. As for a utility knife, it will handle almost anything I throw at it since it is so small. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Here is one to try. Do it. You won't regret it.

The pound of flesh that it extracted was taken after 12 hours! I bought this to pack for my backpacking trips because my esee 5 is too big for short trips and now it has become my everyday carry (added a tek-- It was a joke, The buyer should beware though, because it comes with a hair-splitting kick
5/5

My thumb was facing the edge of the blade after I own it less then 12 hours, and I tried to break in the sheath with my thumb facing After my thumb slipped, I ended up with a large chunk of flesh being completely detached from my thumb before I even realized what had I plan on purchasing three more of these knives for my friends, so I hope they enjoy the same experience as me.
It is in my opinion one of my favorite knives and having the izula 2 just adds that extra bit of handle for guys with larger When I need this again, I will buy it again without a doubt, but the warranty makes my life difficult.

There are no differences between the knives, they are both well-built and Review of the Kabar BK 14 in comparison to the Izula 2
5/5

Two knives very similar to each other which I own and will compare. It is a tough choice between the Izula 2 and the BK14, both very sturdy and capable knives. In this review, I will discuss the advantages of the Izula 2 over the BK14, and reasons why I believe the Izula 2 is the better buy. The handle and length of this product are I really like the extra 1/2 inch of handle on the Izula 2, as it makes the tool much more comfortable to use than the BK 14. I also love how it fits well into gloves of my size XL. Micarta handles, included with the Izula 2 make it a better value since neither knife can be comfortably used without a handle, even para cord warped handles won't do for larger The Sharpness of the image is Compared with the BK 14, the Izula 2 has a better sharpening ability and is easier to sharpen. In comparison with the Izula 2, the BK 14 seems to have less finely grained steel. I could not get the BK Razor Sharp, but can get the Izula 2 razor sharper, yeah! I imagine? I can keep my Mora as sharp as possible. This sharpness of Izulas is probably owed to its Rowens heat treatment, which ESEE employs. The following are the weights A piece of the Izula 2 with handle scales is cheaper than a BK 14 without a handle scale. The fit and finish of the furniture It is missing some small areas of blade coating in several very small places on my BK14, and its edge grinding has become uneven around the tip. As for the BK14, it was only working at its peak when it was My arm was shaved by the Izula 2 when I first received it and when I used it on a camping trip with the other family member as our only knife. The hand A coating on the blade As a result, the coating on the Izula 2 is less abrasive and keeps the blade cleaner longer. The BK14 appears to have a more durable coating and was more evenly applied. The sheath is There is no doubt that the Izula 2 has a better sheath. As a result, it is smaller, it has better retention, it does not rattle, and it is Despite the fact that it snapped into the sheath upon purchase, my BK14 does not snap into the sheath anymore. The geometry of the blade is as follows Blade curves downward more on the Izula 2 than its predecessor, and I believe this makes the knife more ergonomic, easy to cut with, and easier to handle. In spite of the longer length of the blade on the BK14, it doesn't seem any more superior, and the width of the blade interferes with its ability to carve fine wood. You can compare the blades on the Izula 2 and the BK14 in the images I uploaded. I have heat treated and steeled some parts. Izula 2 is made of 1095 steel with Rowens heat treatment, which is found on all of ESEE's knives. The BK14 is made of 1095 steel with chromium vanadium heat treatment, but not quite as good as Rowens'. There are 1095 Croatian croats While van steel seems to be better on paper, many people believe that steel chemistry is more important than heat treatment -- at least to a certain extent. Based on my experience using both, I am more inclined to prefer the Izula 2 steel since I can sharpen it more easily The warranty is ESE knives are the only knives that come with an unconditional warranty, meaning if you break it, a new one is provided. In terms of warranties, Kabar BK offers a good one, but it's Can the $30 premium that the Izula 2 promises be justified? It does seem so to me. This knife offers a bit more handle space, new ergonomics, improved fit and finish, Rowens heat-treated knives, comfortable micarta handles, a lifetime warranty, a better sheath and more effective blade geometry, all for $30 more than the BK14. How this helps me is that I uploaded many images.
