Given that I am not sure of your size, I am uncertain of what size shoes to buy. I usually wear a size 8 men shoe and have an average size frame. It fits well over my shoes and boots, and I ordered the medium. Return it if it is too small and we can fit you in a larger size. While it is greatest during storms and heavy snow, I have to admit it is the best idea ever. Keeping pants and shoes safe is easy with this screen. This app may be a little pricey, but it's totally worth it during the periods of heavy snowfall.
There have never been any ticks in my house. Although I am not certain that the gaiters kept ticks from grabbing onto me or if I was ever exposed to them (which is hard As well as keeping small seeds, burrs, and other debris out of your boots and socks, the gaiters also prevent your boots from smelling unpleasant. The purpose of these socks is to keep snow out of my pant legs and to prevent ground moisture from soaking through. In that sense, they serve their purpose well. There have been much more expensive brands that do not perform as well as the OR gaiters. They are also easier to put on and take off. This is a highly recommended book.
The mud was slushy and I encountered a lot of bush whacking in the mountains, bush walking through brush, and walking through waste deep snow during my August trek and I was comfortable and secure. These are my go-to shoes when I don't know what the terrain will be like. As long as it fits well, I would wear it on any trek.

One of the gaiters had a rip on the second time I used it. I like the gaiters, but one of them had a problem with the stitching. On December 12, I sent Outdoor Research a warranty claim, and on January 6, I received a response by email. In their response, they said they could give me an online credit, but that I would need to pay shipping and that it would take up to 4 weeks for the return to be processed. THEN i will get the online credit so I am able to purchase another pair and then pay shipping on that pair as well. Having to wait almost 2 months and pay more for shipping to get them is a bad experience. I appreciate the offer for online credit however, I do not like having to wait almost 2 months for them. It's possible that I will keep the ripped gaiters and attempt to sew them myself, but it's likely that I will end up buying my last pair of outdoor clothes There are times when manufacture errors happen, however, they shouldn't be so difficult to fix.
It is a shame, though, that the sizing is a bit tight. Wearing a size 11, I am 5'11" tall. I had a 5 (US) boot, and the size chart said I would need a large. The eleventh of my list. Despite being in the middle of the 10-point scale, the 5 is still very accurate The boots are supposed to be in the 13 range, but no matter what I tried they would not fit snugly around my feet. A second problem I had with the gaiters was that the top was so large that it was hard to cinch them down tightly above my calves. The solution in point 11) would fix my issue completely. There are about 1/2" extra length in the L and slightly less space around the top of the top, but they now fit snug against the top of the boots and won't allow snow or anything else to get in between the gaiter and the boot. Many reviewers have told me to order a larger size, but either OR has changed the product or the reviewer has extremely large feet (fat boots). It is the function of gaiters to prevent snow and other undesirables from entering the tops of boots. If they're too big, they won't have any effect.
In terms of keeping things together, they do a great job. In the beginning, I had bought the Large based on the measuring guide on the website, which was of no actual use to me. It was a perfect fit after I exchanged for a Medium. This pair of shoes I purchased with the intention of being able to snowshoe, go upland birding, travel light mountaineering and hike As well as keeping rocks, sand and snow out of your boots, they also provide excellent insulation. In spite of the fact that I post holed up to my hip, I managed not to get any snow inside I found them to be incredibly efficient and they did not leak or overheat It took a little while to realize I needed to tighten up the bottom buckle. In addition, maintaining the gaiter snug over your boots is made easier by the shoe lace holder. There is a pretty interesting top strap that we initially found a bit odd. It seemed like there was a lot of space between the two straps and it cinched down a bit poorly. My only recommendation would have been to replace the nylon calf strap with something with some elasticity so that when you tighten it down, it moves and flexes with your leg rather than being stiff around your calf. But this is the only improvement I could think of. Considering its low price, this gaiter is hard to beat. Before buying it, I wasn't sure if I wanted to jump into goretex gaiters completely additionally, I wanted more waterproofing than the lowest priced The materials I chose are exactly what I needed, and I expect they will last for a long time.
There is no way around it. Several years ago, my wife purchased a large, and they have worked for her great. She really likes them, and she has had them for years. It's a little long on my calves, so I bought the XL. I purchased the XL model because it fits well in the boot clip area the front boot clip, however, became redundant with the larger size. Regardless of whether the boots have a built-in gaiter clip or not, it will not work with any of them. The part of the boot that extends past my ankle is too wide when I wear a size 10 US men's boot. Had I not needed them that week for a climb up Mount Elden, I would have returned them. The Fuji camera. Having these gaiters keep most of the rock and dirt out of my boots did prove helpful, but if the front of the gaiter had been able to clip to my boot, I believe that I would not have gotten debris in my shoes. The only problem was that one of the gaiters had a hole in it when I received it, a small problem that shouldn't have been a big deal for $50 plus, but I didn't expect to have to make repairs right away. As I have used them, I will not be able to return them, but I think I will go to a physical store instead if I need to get a new.
I messed up. I think these are great, though! exact same shape as the Expedition Crocodiles that I also own, however a slimmer fit and thinner (lighter / smaller) fabric to address less demanding demands. I bought a size 13 leather boot and the large fit perfectly. A number of years ago, Aniston gave me the following tip for ensuring that, when adjusting the straps, they wouldn't cut Webbing tubular is a handy, replaceable item that you can slip them through You will get years of use out of them if you do not rip them with crampons or drop them!.
There are many similarities between these and the gaiters I wore out after many years, except for the fact that the new ones have "OR" embroidered on them near the top, a stupid addition of weight that causes water to leak through otherwise waterproof material. I would describe these as by far the best gaiters I have ever worn. The XL gaiters fit with leather telemark boots and hiking boots in size 15. In addition to Crocodiles, I have XXL Crocodiles which are heavier and larger and can be worn over large plastic boots.
I love how comfortable they are. This pair of gaiters has so far met expectations. A really good job has been done on them. I love how comfortable they are. It wasn't until a few minutes ago that I realized Size is important. In my boots, I wear a size 13. It was a perfect fit for an extra large. I barely fit my boot over the top of these as they fit snug against the bottom of have larger calf muscles, so the gaiter is a bit loose in that area, but it doesn't bother me at all. You might have difficulty fitting these if your legs are skinny and your feet are large. They may not fit the way I think they should. I am going to go over the As the under strap is sewed on, you will have to cut it off and stitch another one on if it fails. You may never fail if you do this. It's so funny.
