Maybe I got a bad batch, but mine wouldn't screw all the way down. Even before they got to the o-, the thread tipped. ring. For the first time, this isn't a bad product; it's an impossible product that fails to perform even the most basic functions. I bought it for my boat, so I didn't get a chance to try it out until the spring. It's too late to send it back now. My bad. Water and gas were used to check for leaks. Gas has not leaked, but there has been some leakage of water. It would seal better if the O ring was captive in a groove; as it is, I'm afraid it will squeeze out and leak at some point.

The threads were taped with PTFE pipe tape, and the O ring was lubricated with motor oil. When the cap is tightened down, it seals perfectly. Aside from that, there was an overwhelming odor of gas. Has a long life span.

For white gas, I bought a few 1000ml bottles. There are no leaks, and the system appears to be in good working order. I like the size. Approximately the same size as a 16-ounce propane bottle.
