Tuvizo Reflective Vest for Running or Cycling - Comfortable Reflective Gear for High Visibility and Safety

Review from the beginning: br>br>I'm 6'0" and weigh 215 pounds, with a 40-inch waist. The shoulder straps are fine, but the waist strap is too tight. I believe it is designed to fit snugly, but I prefer my PPE to be a little looser. My solution is as follows: Purchase a second one and flip it over, removing the shoulder straps to create an extension. I wish we chubby people had this option. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the fact that it was a great product. I work at an airport where not wearing your vest can result in a fine of over $150, so it's definitely worth the money. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> 8/17/2014br>br>A company representative contacted me via e-mail after I wrote the original review. mail and asked if I'd be interested in a new, larger vest they'd just designed in response to customer demand. She stated that it would be ready for market in two weeks and that they would ship it to me free of charge. Of course, I complied, and it arrived today. I would give this product 6 stars, with an additional star for the excellent customer service, because the fit is exactly what I wanted on the new L/XL size.

Material that reflects silver. To test the vest's reflectiveness, I had my boyfriend wear it while I drove several blocks behind him in my car. As a result, I was able to witness firsthand how clear The car's lights reflected off the bright vest. As a result, I now feel a lot safer when I ride my bike. running late at night ( Despite the high efficacy of this vest's reflectiveness, it's important to remember that ALL reflective vests will only work if there is an external light that reflects off of it during daylight hours. br>br> While I'm confident that drivers can see this vest's reflection well before their car approaches me if their headlights are turned on, some drivers undoubtedly forget to do so. For this reason alone, I chose to attach a small blinking light to the back crossing shoulder straps in the middle of the back to help ensure my safety if a car's headlights were not turned on. Because the shoulder straps on the vest cross, it's a little more complicated. are sewn together in the middle of the back, it's simple to secure a small blinking light (I use a Nathan Strobe Light from Amazon) that you won't even notice is there. Although I believe the Tuvizo reflective vest would be more than effective in keeping you visible to oncoming cars, I prefer to include a safety option in case a car's lights are turned off (which is critical for the efficacy of any reflective material). br>br>This Tuvizo vest is available in one size ("one size fits all") and is very easy to adjust, with four separate adjustments: one on each shoulder strap, and a waist adjustment on both sides of the anterior clip-on that is situated in the center of the torso br>br>Because it's a clip-on vest, rather than an overabundance of, the- It's very simple to apply to the head. Even if you're dressed in bulky clothing, you'll be able to get away with it When I wore it over a t-shirt, I found it to be quite comfortable. Shirts and thicker sweatshirts are also available. br>br>POTENTIAL CONCERN: br>br>I believe that if Tuvizo offered additional sizes in addition to their current "one size fits all" option, more people would benefit. Although the vest fits me perfectly (5'6", 131 pounds, 30" waist), I believe it would be too big for people who are taller or have a larger mid-section. This vest may be a little too tight for some people. I wore this vest with just a t-shirt when I first got it. I had a total of two shirts. On both sides of my torso, I have 75" of additional "adjustment" space. On each of my shoulder straps, I have about 4" extra adjustment. While I was able to wear my reflective vest loosely at waist level (my preference), I believe most men (or anyone over 5'10") will find that it rises well above their waist. Additionally, when I wore this reflective vest over a couple of sweatshirts, the fit was much tighter around my waist, which was fine for my height. In terms of size and proportions, I believe most men ( A larger size would be better for taller/larger women, but if you don't mind a tight fit around the chest (rather than the waist), this "one size fits all" may be fine for you. If your height was shorter than mine, I'd be concerned about the fit. 5'10" - If you were 5'11" tall and/or had a torso circumference of than 40". br>br>Overall, the Tuvizo reflective vest is very user-friendly. friendly, and it's not too expensive. It has the best reflectivity of any of the previous eight vests I've bought over the years.

The quality of the design appears to be excellent. When a flashlight or car headlights shine on it, the yellow/green one shines VERY brightly. br>I was concerned that putting it on or adjusting it would be difficult, but it turned out to be simple. On both counts, it is simple. br>If your appearance is important to you, If you wear a size L (as I do), I recommend getting the L/XL size rather than the S,M,L size; otherwise, if you're a little long in the torso, it may ride high on your waist or back, or look like an inverted "V" at your waist in front; plus, you'll have more leeway to wear it over a heavy coat or other bulky item.

The green and pink styles are our favorites. We wear these when walking our dogs in areas where there are no sidewalks. I've had drivers come to a complete stop and say, "I can definitely see you!" "br>br>Things I like:br>Great visibility, really makes us feel safer at dawn/duskbr>Very adjustable to fit me (5'2") and my husband (5,11")br>Can easily wear over heavy coat or just a shirtbr>Straps allow me to clip an LED light to the front and back to increase visibility and help me/my husband keep track of each other from a distancebr>Comfortable/ not overly restrictivebr>.

This is an incorrect description. I put it to the test with bright LED flash lights in both high and low beam. Even in high-beam light, there is no REFLECTIVE effect under these circumstances. On a bright green fabric, a gray stripe has been painted. Sure, it's visible in the daytime, but that's not due to the reflective effect, as we're supposed to understand; this is a dangerous product--after all, it's supposed to save lives. br>br>I'm pleading with Amazon to take this item off the market.
