What will this rack look like if it's My bike will need to be taken off the rack of my 2017 Toyota Tundra, therefore, I need to unlock the tailgate to get access to the bike. ?

About 35 degrees is how far it can fold back. It is likely you would not need to fold the rack out of the way once your bike is off the rack. You may just need to open the tailgate once the bike is off the rack. When down, the rack should just barely cover the bed of the truck and will not block access to the bed of the vehicle.

Can your truck bed be accessed when it's blocked?

Folding the Kuat allows it to be folded down comfortably without obstructing In order to get a Kuat Hi-Line, I own a Ram 1500 In order to make sure the tailgate did not touch the rack, I dropped the rack by an additional inch. In spite of the Hi-Fi, I could have done without it To avoid scratching the paint on my tailgate, I opted not to do it. As an option, Kuat also offers the Pivot that allows you to swing the rack out of the way of the tailgate when it's open.

Can you let me know how long and wide the two bike rack is?

In the description you will find the specifications.

Do you have a fat tire bike that you can fit this on?

Sergio may have meant 4 when he said that. These tires are on a Surly Moonlander that I have, and are as far as I know the fattest fat bike tires. As I just tried it on this rack, the front wheel fits. But you'll need a strap extension to tie the back tire down ") in place, which can be bought separately for

Several racks are available on the market today, so I researched them. A great deal of online research was also conducted. I visited many bike shops in my area to see what they had to offer. The NV 2 is rated for 45 pounds per bike but I have a DH bike that tips the scales at over 50 lbs, so I would not have liked the racks rated for 30 pounds. A bike rated at 0 pounds is designed to carry 60 pounds.

I was impressed with both the quality and reliability of this product. From reviewing reviews online and handling it myself over the weekend, I believe this bike can handle any amount of force. Since I'm a car nut and I've worked with cars and metal fabrication for some time, I found construction of the rack to be excellent and was pleasantly surprised to find the part of the rack overbuilt when One gets what they pay for, as the saying goes. You may, or you may not. After narrowing it down to just two racks, I decided on those two. A version 2 of the NV is available for download. The Thule T2 Pro XT is a compatible companion to the Reload 0. Many reviews on these racks are available online, comparing them on a head-to-head basis. The NV 2 was the one I settled on. In the end, we came to 0 after taking into account The decision I made was very, very good for me. Here are some pictures of how the rack looked as I opened it. Video instructions show that assembly is as simple as they claim. My experience has been that laying the rack assembly upside down on the box it was shipped in, and assembling the trays one side at a time, made handling it myself a lot This review includes pictures that show the process of building it. As for the packaging, I was also impressed. The majority of companies fail to take into account the abuse that a 60 pound box will experience during transmission. It is Kuat who deserves credit for boxing the unit so well. There is no damage to the rack at all. Moreover, the box is sturdy enough for it to be held while it's being assembled. It did cross my mind to assemble it with the center already mounted in the hitch, however, I chose There is an option for trail doc stations that I like to use. The fact that it played a part in my decision played a significant role in my purchasing decision. A tension adjustment button has been provided at all points of movement, making it surprisingly sturdy. The fact that it is so comfortable to use on the trail is great. My basic materials included an inexpensive furniture dolly ($15), a 2-inch receiver hitch designed for truck bumpers ($18), and a base made of 3/4" plywood, a piece of 2X12, and a 2X10 top In order to ensure that all three pieces are secured together, the wood is attached to the dolly with the appropriate length decking screws. 3 1/2" lag bolts were used to secure the dolly to the sled. It will roll on the dolly without counterweights. However, in order to move the rack without worrying that it would tip over, some iron pipe uprights and four 25 pound weight plates were added. It is also possible to use a bag or two of quickcrete or playground sand if you do not have any weights. The hitch pin secures it and now, with the counter weights, it can be easily moved. Similarly, you can lower the trailer without tipping it over and restore it to a stowed position without the trailer falling over. I even rolled the trailer right to the car and pulled the pin to switch it to the Please let me know if this is of help to anyone. In the off-season, it was a low-cost alternative to get it out of the way. To conclude, KUAT includes a nice box that contains the three keys, a locking hitch pin, a cap since you aren't going to use the trial version in order to make it look nice, and a The registration process was simple, easy, and fast. I have also had numerous conversations with representatives at KUAT both during the decision phase and afterwards. We had a great time every time. This rack was a great decision for me. I'm very happy with it. You will have a lot of fun making By the way, for those who are concerned with such things, you will also get a bottle opener key chain. Introducing John* Update The rack was in the up position when I went there. At fill ups, it was extremely useful to be able to tilt the tank down for easy access to my trunk. Everything was tight and smooth, and there were no rattles or moves around. It is not necessary to mention the speeds on highways. Only the rack was used to take the mpg measurements. When I drove it back with the bike on it, the mileage difference was only 1 mpg. At the end of my review, I captured the rack as I neared my There is a rope you may notice. While I felt a little overconfident as it was my first time using it, I felt more confident because of that. I was extremely satisfied with the rack's performance. It did not take long for us to mount the bike, strap it in, and mount the front tire holder. There is a 27mm lens on a large frame. The wheels have five pluses on them. There was probably a setting I could have changed on the front tire holder. Having just completed a long day, I decided to leave the rack on the car once I got home. to take it off just to be on the safe side. In fact, you hadn't moved the knob at all that you use to tighten the rack into the hitch. The rack was then loaded onto the storage dolly after I loosened the hardware and unlocked the pin. As soon as I got it in the garage, I rolled it up. In my opinion, this trip alone was the reason for buying It is generally necessary to dissemble bikes into bits and pieces for storage in the back seat and trunk or to lay them in the trunk with the wheels stuck out and the ropes all over. It is simply awesome that you can hoist a bike into the rack and then remove it in a matter of seconds. During the weekend, I'll use it for my 60 lb DH bike, which weighs close to 40 In addition, since there were no pedals on the crank arms, I ran the cable lock through the crank arm and locked it back into place. I really appreciate what you did for me. I updated my previous post on 12/26/18. The program works perfectly. There is a pic of a silver bike on the rack in the attachment. The bike I thought I would be able to match is the Specialized BigHit, which weighs just 60 pounds. At close to 58 pounds, it has a dual crown inverted fork and weighs nearly 18 pounds lighter than its predecessor. The fact that you can load and unload a bike in a minute or less makes a big difference in your quality of life! Thus, one can ride more often since time is saved. The following updates were made on December 31, 2018 In the afternoon of 12/29, I was out riding and needed to make some adjustments to my Initially, I was going to mount the camera in a transport position and do it from there. As a result, I was blocked from accessing my account. When I realized that Trail Doc was an option, I was very glad. It was time for me to get off the bike. By raising the hitch and extending the trail doc, we were able to position the clamp to go onto the seat post and solve the problem! I was able to get it working flawlessly. This hitch has been enhanced in terms of versatility. The Trail Doc is being used in the three photos I added. Definitely a feature to be proud of. This is an updated version from 2-24/2019 A LOT of use has been put to the rack and it continues to work like new. Two fat bikes fit on my car and I drove 100 miles with them. One has 26x4 tires. The other 26X4 does not exist. The cost is 45 pounds per person. In the tire cradle for the front wheels, I lowered it to the lowest setting. The supplied Phat Tire kit for the one bike was used, after which I attached my own Velcro straps cut at 36" each so they would wrap around twice and attach to each other. Additional security was provided by the 24" heavy duty zip ties I used for each wheel. The initial purchase was likely overkill, but it turned out to be a big hit. Three new pictures of fat bikes have been added. Initially, I was going to offload the black one so I could repair the drive train on the red bike. I ended up needing to repair the drive train on the red fat bike. Thinking outside the box of my own design, I used the traildoc system with the rack fitted in the 'down' This feature is very useful. I like this rack very much! I am John.

They feature lock and pin lock sets all keyed alike and provide three keys with a little bottle opener to go with them. It took less than 10 minutes to assemble the rack. There is nothing better than this rack's convenience and ease of use. There is no movement of the bike since it is highly secure. There is a bit of weight to this rack, but it is constructed very well. You can turn a knob to tighten the hitch receiver so you don't have to worry about the rack moving. There is ample room for a wider tire bike. The wheel fastening straps can be shifted to accommodate a variety of wheels. The bike's seat has a place for a wider handlebar too. You can tilt the table up so that it is out of the way when not in use. I don't have any issues with folding the bike stand, but when folded it blocks a bit of the license plate. However, the issue is easily fixed by removing it.

Despite liking the rack, there were a few small nuances to note
5/5

It is not the first time I have used the NV 2. It was the second year I brought it. As a TRI bike owner, I chose this rack because I needed a solid bottom rail rack for my bike. But what intrigued me most was the bike stand. I loved the rack but thought there were a few nuances that could have been improved. In the end, I decided to purchase the new one without hesitation. I was blown away by the improvements in this rack version! The version of the rack that Kuat added to my rack addressed every concern I had. Different wheel widths can be accommodated by the molded wheel cups. It features a steel security cord that is almost twice as long as the old one, which is also equipped with two My old rear elbow cap started falling off eventually so now it is molded in (my old one was welded to the elbow). It is much more convenient to fold the rack with the step locks. The straps are longer and wider, and the cords are making them more durable, which should make them suitable for triathletes and mountain bikers with deep profile carbon wheels. They still include an extender kit even if the new ones do not have a long enough length. This is brilliant! You get what you pay for with this rack, which is a bit on the expensive side.
