We've never had them checked to make sure they're legal. Because most golf is played under courtesy rules, I don't see why these shouldn't be used unless you're playing for a professional organization where all rules are strictly enforced. Thousands of them have been sold, and many people use them on a daily basis. I hope this information is useful.
