Basically, my son was 14 years old when he used the strap so I'm not sure if you're considering use as a teenager or young child, but it looked to be about 4 to 5 inches long, which I think should be appropriate for any child.
There is a royal blue color to it.
The exact purpose of this is to do just that. Over the course of a couple seasons, I'm on the third one. Installing this cover is easy provided that you are comfortable removing and reapplying the plastic rivet. The process is easy (it's not at all difficult)

The chin strap isn't long enough to fit the size. THEREFORE, NO ADJUSTMENT IS NEEDED. According to the description, the item is in good condition. Consequently, I find it more comfortable to wear my helmet while wearing it, although there are a couple disadvantages as well. First, if you, like me, have your chinstrap buckled at the top snaps, you cannot get this on and off without unscrewing the face mask to undo the snaps at the top. In addition, it is fabric, so it will absorb sweat and will almost certainly need to be taken off and washed every single time you wear This is not a practical solution because of the downside I outlined in the first paragraph.
UA is launching its first product with this one. My initial thought when I bought it was that it would provide more cushioning to the chin pad I already had mounted to my helmet. The cushioned part of the pad faces out while an uncomfortable mesh surrounds it. Like fabric, this is what you need to wear against your skin, which isn't really I am sorry to say that this is the first UA product I have not been satisfied with. Thanks to the great packaging and delivery time, I gave it two stars.
For the helmet of my 9 year old son, I purchased this. Despite its size, my son said it fit perfectly and his chin strap feels so much better after wearing it. Additionally, it prevented the rash from appearing on his face when it rubbed on his face. It was great for a short time before it started rubbing and giving my son a rash. *UPDATE* I pulled it off my son and he still has a rash. As a result, the chin strap is now completely new.
Although it is well made, the pad isn't thick enough to be comfortable. The package also states that there are two pads, when in fact there is only one. That is deceiving in my opinion.
The current state. The chin strap is one of the things we will cover, so we are doing everything in our power to cover it. A perfect match could not be found for the color. I can't believe how well it fit. It was amazing how fast the shipping was. The impression I received was great. This is a company I would do business with.
Using this made his chin strap normal again, and he loves the comfort now.
