The size will depend on how he likes it to fit, either size should be fine, my son prefers the snug fit.
I think it fits my son pretty well and he is ten years old. It is normal for his age for him to be smaller.
If it was on the box, I do not have it anymore, so I am not sure where to look for it. My son's Catcher's Helmet has this printed inside the pocked on the inside. It follows the nocsae spec.
A 13 year old who is 5’5 and 120 pounds is ideally suited to the intermediate level. In the intermediate, the boy still has a lot of room to grow, so the intermediate might work for him. If your son wears either size, he might be fine.

This set was purchased to make sure my son had a chest protector that was approved by NOCSAE. The chest protector and the helmet have been working fine. However, after three months of use, one of the leg guards has fallen apart. The piece with the letter "E" on it just above the knee cap fell off, and it has been difficult to replace it. It means I will have to buy a new pair A single baseball season wasn't even enough time! It is not known whether the leg guards are padded. In addition, I have noticed that my son's uniform shirt and pants are being scratched by his chest protector and leg guards.

It was a perfect fit, comfortable, and the shipping was on time.

It was fine.

I purchased it for my 11-year-old son and it fits him perfectly. It's also great in terms of quality and style.

This was brand new equipment though. The gear is excellent for catching. It is a favorite of my child.

A lot of his new Easton Catcher's gear has been loved by him. We're ready to go. I like how I feel.
