Looks a little odd. For girls who actually swam around in the water instead of laying out, one-piece swimsuits used to be pretty standard. My 5-foot-tall elementary school girl required a suit that would cover her entire body while still allowing her to move freely. She has a shorter torso and long legs, so this suit was ideal for her. She says the arm hole area is comfortable and doesn't give her any "wedgies. " The print is fun and youthful, and there is enough skin showing to distinguish it from her mother's suit. I'm impressed with the quality, and washings haven't resulted in any shrinkage or color-shifting. bleeding. I even dried it by accident, and the rubbery lining on the legs (to keep them from riding up) did not melt, wrinkle, or shrink. This is one of those suits that I'd like to pass down through my extended family's female line!.
Granddaughter, who is a year old. When she first saw it, her eyes popped open, and she couldn't get it on fast enough. We went beach camping for a week and she refused to wear anything else. She was accompanied by a group of people. It was a little tight at first, but it was perfect for her. The loose leg openings of cheaper suits were one of the things she liked about them; no wedgies. When she went in the ocean, she liked how the crotch area didn't fill up with sand. She'll be a year old this year. I'm going to get her a couple more in larger sizes because she's a great swimmer. It's a sweet suit that stays on your fanny. There are no straps to untie or sag.
I couldn't find anything interesting in the smaller sizes, so I hoped she'd be able to get away with a size 7 in this suit (she's quite tall for a 5). This suit was comfortable to wear (with some room for growth) and met all of her needs. She takes it to the pool and can swim the entire length of the pool in it. Without having to adjust or pull on anything, you can get a quick lesson in under a minute. br>I've only washed it a couple of times so far and it's not faded. I wish the suit came in adult sizes because it's so cute! This is something I would definitely recommend, but I would size up.
After purchasing a solid-color Speedo suit, we decided to purchase this one. The solid one fit perfectly, but it began to show wear in areas where it came into contact with concrete. This suit has exceeded our expectations! Not only does it fit my ten-year-old perfectly, but the colors have held up well after numerous washes. It hasn't sagged and still looks fantastic!.
This is a fantastic suit, but my 10-year-old daughter (who is 89 pounds and only slightly taller than most kids her age) needed the size 16 to get it over her shoulders. The 14 (the recommended size according to the sizing chart) was too short for her; I believe the 16 is slightly roomier in some areas, but it appears to be better for her in terms of getting off and on lengthwise than the 14.
My daughter is a beginner swimmer, so I'm sure I'll be back to buy more. Make it in a variety of colors if possible.
granddaughter, who is ten years old. br>I gave it to her today, and she was very pleased with it. The pattern and style were particularly appealing to her. br>I liked the fabric and the fit, which is true to size; she can't wait to wear it next week at swim lessons.
