If that helps, I'd say it's a double D.
Yes, and if you have an insert, you can easily remove the one that came with the shoe and replace it with your own.
Because these are cross trainers with good traction on the soles, I believe they will be fine.
They're designed to be a cross trainer, but while they're as light as an 880, their soul is more substantial and doesn't break down as easily. I've swapped out the 880 for a 517. They'll be a great running shoe for you.

Make sure you don't throw your money away. While these are light, they are not comfortable and do not fit true to size. I ordered a size 10 and received a size 12. You're closer to a 10 2E than you are to a 5 4E. I gave them to a men's shelter because they have no arch support. br>br>.
These 517V2s arrived today, and I could tell they were narrower right away. Since I can remember, I've been wearing the New Balance 11 1/2 4E. I noticed they were too narrow as soon as I took them out of the box. They were comfortable when I tried them on. I measured 5 1/2" from the bottom of the foot to the ball of the foot. I pulled out my old version 1 517s and took some measurements. They stood 5 7/8 inches tall. Either they have poor quality control or they are, as I suspected for a long time, narrowing their shoes and toe boxes to appeal to the masses rather than the people who have supported their wide/wide toe box shoes for years.
The version 2 of New Bal9 has been slashed in price. The outer mesh is made of a thin cloth that does not appear to be very strong. So do yourself a favor and stick with version 1. They're of much higher caliber.
I'm not sure if I should keep it or return it. My feet are put under pressure by a band that runs across the foot near the toes. It's not a pleasant sensation, and it's exacerbated by the fact that I've been on my feet for ten hours (in work shoes) and they've swelled a little. br>Even on fresh feet in the morning, I can still feel that band going across my feet. Other aspects of the shoe appeal to me, but comfort takes precedence.
These were purchased for my husband, who was smitten by the 517 V1 pair I had purchased for him. The cushiness of the v1s impressed him, as he has 4E extremely flat feet. He wanted a second pair in a different color, but they weren't available in his width, so I went with the v2s. He told me that the v2s not only looked different, but also fit differently. The toe box isn't as deep as it should be, and the cushioned insole isn't present. They returned to their original position.
First and foremost, the style and appearance of these New Balance shoes drew my attention enough for me to pursue them. As a Senior Citizen, I've relied on the NB brand for years to meet the needs of my problematic feet, both in terms of width availability and overall comfort, which was exacerbated by the fact that I had foot surgery in June and couldn't wear any of my previous shoes/sneakers. These 517 V2 Cross Trainers were a good fit for me after attempting a few other styles. br>It was also excellent in terms of shipping and delivery!.
I usually wear a size 14 narrow shoe, which is exactly what I ordered and received, but my toe kept hitting the end of the shoe. For some reason, the majority of Asian-made shoes appear to be one or two sizes too small. I bought a pair of Nikes (Amazon) over ten years ago and had to order a size 16 to get a comfortable fit lengthwise, but I had to wear arch supports because of the shoe's extra width. Those Nike shoes, by the way, are still on my feet. New Balance shoes have a reputation for being narrower than most, and this appears to be the case. The NB shoes were reordered in a size 15 and fit perfectly. When I first got them, I wore them all day until I took them off at night, and they were very comfortable. The biggest issue I have with sport shoes is that the shoe lace eyelets are simply holes punched in the leather or uppers, making it difficult to lace them up and causing the holes to enlarge over time until the shoe lace pulls through. I'm going to put 3/16" grommets or eyelets in all of the eyelet holes except the two closest to the toe now that I know they fit me. There isn't enough "give" in the material to allow a hole puncher to pass through it.
As a woman with a wide foot, I find it difficult to find shoes that fit properly. Depending on the manufacturer, 3E or 4E will be used. My podiatrist recommended that I wear a men's tennis shoe because they are cut wider and provide more room in the heel. New Balance, thank you for visiting! While each style may fit differently depending on the materials used - Since I'm a men's size 9, I've been very pleased with all of my New Balance styles in terms of both appearance and comfort. 5 Since I'm never going to be able to find a "cute" stylish woman's shoe, these will suffice.
