I'm not sure how sturdy it is, but the kids are in love with this mat! The construction of this item seems to be pretty good. Gymnastics practice is made simple by the bounce, which is just right. There is enough room to perform a double back walkover with a 13'. There are a few areas with imperfections in the seams, and I worry a little about pressure and busting. On the 3rd and 5th photos, you can see repeated divets on the material that look like a manufacturing defect. I hope this does not compromise the quality or leak air into the frame. I have taken off 1 star because of this, but we really enjoy the book otherwise!.
