Having trained in martial arts for close to forty years, I know how challenging it can be. I used to do most of my striking (on focus mitts, heavy pads, and the heavy bag) barefoot, for most of those years. It is tied. Somedays, if I'm going to do a lot of rounds on the bag, I'll wear minimalist gloves (like MMA fighting gloves) just to keep my knuckles clear of the skin, but other than that, I don't wear My goal as a karate practitioner is to develop punches that are strong without having to wear gloves. My hands and wrists need to be developed so that I am able to do that. Those policies have proven to be efficient and effective. As I grow older, I have developed very strong hands, and I can use the part of my knuckles that works best. Since my hands are older, I have put a lot of mileage on them. Recently, I have found that wearing padding when I hit is a good idea due to the inevitable arthritis in my hands and wrists. There is nothing wrong with these gloves. In fact, they are replacing a pair that I liked better, because the thumb was open, allowing one to properly make a fist by folding one's thumb over one's fingers. Those were pretty beaten up, though, and I cannot find them There is a problem with these as well Despite my efforts, I am unable to make a fist tightly closed with these gloves on. Since I do not consider myself to be a professional boxer, I have been going to the heavy bag for a couple of months to improve I used the Everlast gloves for the past couple of months that have the elastic strap on the bottom, which are fine, but they don't feel as snug or as sturdy on the hand as these do. After a couple of hand injuries to my hands, I started looking for other gloves. chose the 16oz version because I wanted to train a little harder, and I have really large hands, and these products fit great. As a first point, the strap's ability to wrap evenly around the wrist makes it so these feel so much more secure and comfortable There is no comparison between the texture inside the gloves and the outside. With these gloves, you'll have a better grip and they'll dry faster. Although I haven't used them for a long time, I don't really know if they are durable, so I will update how I feel about them though

Update After two sessions with these gloves, I noticed that my wrists started hurting even with the same style of hand wrap and how I warmed up and hit the bags. Considering the wrap completely surrounds your wrist, I thought they would fit a little more securely on my wrists, but they did not.

The 14 oz. bottles are the ones I use. There is no need for gloves with the heavy bag. The gloves I use from Amazon provide great protection for my hands, as I try not to hit too hard. Because I can throw fast combinations, and the glove bounces nicely off the heavy bag, it makes it easy for me to throw fast combinations. MMA gloves are occasionally used for training, but they are very small, so I have to be careful because my hands may get cut off. It's a great price and provides great protection against strong punches to a heavy bag. There's no need to spend a fortune on gloves that do the job.
