When I tested the spray on my own knee depending on directions, in order to test it before using it on patients, I developed two severe blisters. This is an old standard in the sports medicine trade that has been used for years. However, the can in my last order contained an extremely strong spray. It is unclear whether this may have been a particularly strong can or if the manufacturer changed the product, but nothing like this has ever happened to me Consequently, I recommend anyone using this spray to test it first by spraying from a further distance and/or for a shorter amount of time than the directions recommend before determining the strength of the product. Testing it out myself, I can attest that the cold effect does occur.
