Since I'm not the seller, this is just a guess, but the 10ft length appears to be more common than the 5ft length, which could explain the lower price (think bulk buying). In any case, you'd rather have more than less of this stuff because you can't have too much of it when you need it, but you can certainly have too little. After that, you're doomed.
I believe it will last two years, but it will last for years if kept in a cool, dry location. The expiration date on all medical items is very short.

I was relieved to discover this because I had purchased First-Aid kits for all of my family members for Christmas. I've already used it to treat a deep cut on my husband's finger. I snipped a piece of gauze and used it to hold the band aid in place while I applied it. It did a fantastic job of stopping the bleeding.
I haven't had to use it yet, and I don't expect to, but Celox Z- Fold is my EDC of choice because it's safe to use on animals (which is important to me as a dog owner who's had his dogs bitten badly twice), and it's small enough to fit in my pocket. It's easy to pack as much as needed into the wound and easier for the hospital to dig out than loose granules because of the fold format. The package is small enough to fit into the pocket of a pair of cargo pants. Although the small packet may not be enough to clot a large wound or multiple wounds, it is a significant improvement over my previous option, which was two hands with some skin on them.
If you're debating whether or not to buy because of the price, go ahead and do so. In a real-life situation, a person's carotid or axillary artery is spraying bright red arterial blood. El cheapo Walmart gauze is not what you want. This is the hemostatic gauze you need to stop the bleeding quickly. I'm an infantryman, and I have two of these bad boys in my IFAK.
This is an essential component of any trauma/IFAK kit for treating bleeding in appendages where a tourniquet cannot be used. It's simple to use, and unlike the old powder, it won't cause burns. The only difference between this and Quick Clot is that this one lacks the X-ray feature. It has a RAY strip woven into it. It's also a good idea to have at least two of these in your kit in case you need to treat a deep penetrating wound, or if you need to repack multiple wounds.
This type of gauze is familiar to me, and the expiration date is acceptable to me. Bought in a 10-pack It was created in 2020 and will be phased out over the next four years. half a year, 04- 2025.
It arrived with years of shelf life remaining, which I hope I never use. It's a little pricey, but can you really put a value on saving a life in an emergency? Very quick delivery and well-packaging.
To put it another way, this fit my needs perfectly. Because the package isn't too large, it easily fits into my first-aid kit (I always have an IFAK in my pack when hunting in grizzly country). I would recommend the product and the seller to others, and I would do business with them again.
