In my opinion, as long as there is a rail it shouldn't matter

Can this be fitted to Pistol Taurus?

Is there a rail on it? "Yes" if that is the case. It is important to note the size of this light. These holsters look great on full size side arms like 1911s and P226s etc.

Can this light run for a long period of time?

I have not yet run it until it has died, but it seems like a good battery that will last. 1 additional light should be carried, and 2 spare batteries The answer is no, 2 Assume that 1 is true. In any case, you shouldn't use your weapon light all the time as a flashlight.

Selected User Reviews For SureFire X300U-A Ultra High Output 1000 Lumens LED Weapon Light with 12 Extra CR123A Batteries and 3 Lightjunction Battery Cases

This is an honest review from people who USE their weapon lights in the real world
4/5

Prior to committing a large amount of my hard-earned money to a weapon light that my life (and the lives of others) might depend on, I did a great deal of research. I am not an everyday warrior who prefers to buy the latest and greatest equipment, just because there is some video game or "tacticool trend" saying this is the weapon light for me. I even use my equipment almost every day quite often. Honestly, I could have bought another brand with a similar lumen output at a less expensive price, but I'll explain why I chose this one. After stating what I mean, let's discuss my feelings towards * This is how the packaging looks. That's all right. There's nothing to it other than The packaging is not important to me, as long as it is in good condition and does not require use of a torch to open. A Safariland 6360 holster and extra batteries were included in this package deal (to include additional Surefire batteries). Since I bought the items together, they were shipped together in one package. packaging of the weapon light itself was not damaged, and it was easy to open. As a package deal, the seller/package includes three Surefire brand batteries and a weapon light. While the weapon light packaging was new without damage, I am unable to assure the same for the little plastic cases the additional batteries came in (see picture). For the weapon light itself, the package was not affected, but the additions of batteries wore out a bit more quickly. My eyes were caught on the cases with the batteries inside, as if someone stepped on them and threw them into the box to be sent It seems unimportant to me, but I'm using these little plastic cases to hold the Surefire batteries together so I can store them in my glove box, go bag, or wherever else I may need them. Even though it wasn't a deal breaker, it did annoy me This is why the review is four stars. Other than that, everything else went well. As far as I know, it is a legitimate, authentic Surefire weapon light (at least as far as I can tell). It's no secret that I've read many horror stories about counterfeits, and I'm the type who wants to verify authenticity before parting with this much I have to admit, I was apprehensive about spending such a large amount of money for an unseen light online. Once the Surefire packaging was opened, I immediately tested the markings on the exterior and the assembly of the light A genuine Surefire X300 Ultra light will have a digital box and "FC" markings on the top where the light mounts to the rail, as this light does (see photo). A spacer was included inside the battery lid/switch assembly when the lid was closed and was rigidly attached. (See picture). This is another sign of a genuine item. It was then time to open the battery lid/switch assembly and verify that the circuit board was also labeled "SUREFIRE" (see picture), which is another indicator of a genuine product. Surefire batteries were installed and the assembly was slid onto my tripod. Guns used were Glock 23s. There was no play at ALL in the light assembly and the fit was excellent. Despite having such precise fit, it seems to be a small chore to install. I tested the switch's operation after attachment by turning it on and off Without any issues, the system worked as expected. Because my fingers are long, the distance between strong hand and weak hand as well as the appropriate grip distance to the ambidextrous switch has been checked, and they have proven to be short. I also found the activation switch to be extremely simple to use and very fast. Because I am right-handed and have a slightly damaged/fused left index finger, removing it proved more challenging than I expected, but I'm not as concerned about that as I am about keeping it properly attached to the weapon All in all, it is an excellent weapon light that has excellent light output and very good security. The price of the Surefire X300 Ultra is higher than that of the Streamlight TLR weapon light. For this reason, I debated whether to buy the Streamlight TLR weapon light. I did not buy anything else than Surefire because I have seen Stremlight (and other) weapon lights fail when they were needed. As for using a weapon light to light up an alley behind my house once a year to scare away stray cats, to impress friends with my tactical cool attitude, or to light up my workbench when I am carrying concealed, then yes, I would have chosen For me, the most important aspect was to have a light capable of functioning in almost any situation, be extremely durable, and stand up to a situation in which I might have to bet my life on it or anyone else's. Keeping it simple is the best approach. The experience of seeing other weapons lights failure in life or death situations will help you understand the importance of quality weapon lights The best way to protect yourself is with SureFire.

A complete lack of customer service from Surefire
3/5

There was just one use for this light mounted on a brand new Glock at the range of my department. I was at frame 45 and the light went out. In the past few months, I have sent two requests to Surefire's customer service via email. I have received no response, call back, or follow-up. There is no way to go up. Considering the price of this product, I am very disappointed. Now that I think about it, I should have gone for.

Light that is suitable for use in home defense, law enforcement, and military applications
5/5

It has been more than ten years since I've used surefire lights on rifles and pistols. have an x300 on my service pistol for the Police Department, and I have another on my offduty Mounts for the light are included in three different sizes. The light that rattles on a gun should be attached to the other mount that comes with the light in order for a proper fit between the light and the rail to be achieved. This light is great with good battery life. If you are going to shoot in low light a lot, make sure you carry a lens wipe as the lens gets dirty while shooting in low lighting.

This is a very serious failure! When I pulled my pistol from under my bed during an anticipated forced entry last night, the light wouldn't go There was a problem with the battery
3/5

I locked it up in my safe and left it off until I used it (had to turn the light "on" to figure out it Luckily, we did not need to worry. I had a backup flashlight available from before I bought this one. Worked with SureFire now to figure out path forward. Will update post/review at that time. *Spent $300 on a flashlight primarily because it would be used to protect my family. This is ridiculous.

It's a wrap! It's a do
5/5

A new Surefire record has been set. My favorite thing about this light is how easy it is to use. I like the solid feel of the case and how it looks and fits on my Fnx- I have made 45 Tacs. Pushing the temporary on button is a treat, and flipping the switch for full on is simple and easy. There is a bright glow from the 1000 lumens. Even without ammunition, the light on its own could be a weapon if I had to use it in a home invasion. downside to this is the price, which is rather steep, but as a true believer in getting what you pay for, the price is worth it. In summary, if you're looking for a gun light that is easy to use, high quality built and easy to carry, take the plunge you won't be disappointed. Plus, when you buy on Amazon, you get the bonus batteries for the same price you would pay on almost every other retailer.

I wasn't blown away
3/5

For me, the TLR1 is the best. There is a rattle in it. In comparison to the TLR1, the quick release set up rattles around more when using the quick release attachment. For the additional cost, I expected it to be more reliable and safer.

This light has been missing for so long that I have no idea why. There is something so sexy about that. It is so study and tight when it is For easy operation, the thumb / finger positions are perfect. If you use a pistol for work or home defense, you really need to have.
