The Seeker 2 Pro is the brightest of the three that I own, and it is bright! They managed to cram a lot of light into a tiny space. I could go over the features of this light again, but the Amazon order page does an excellent job of outlining them. The magnetic charger is a feature found on many Olight flashlights. I can recharge at home or in the car with this. The L dock that comes with the package is very useful. The belt case appears to be well-made as well. br>br>This is my first flashlight with a button that displays both the battery strength and the output level. The Olight Seeker 2 Pro feels good in my hand, and the rubberized grip areas are a nice touch. br>br>The 1200 lumen output on high is more than enough for most of my needs, but if more is required, the 3200 lumen output on turbo is quite impressive. This unit can go from 5 lumens (moonlight mode) to 3200 lumens (blinding mode). The strobe light should be enough to temporarily blind and disorient an attacker. This is, in my opinion, a very impressive flashlight package that I will enjoy for many years. br>br>Update 8/7/2019: I'm still impressed with this light after using it more. It still has a fantastic vibe to it. It has a high level of quality to it. It's incredibly bright, full of features, and backed up by excellent customer service.
I've been buying olight flashlights for years because they're one of the highest-quality lights available at a reasonable price. I've been using the Seeker 2 Pro on duty for about 7 months and have had no problems. This was the case until now. The flashlight unexpectedly died and is no longer chargeable. There was no trauma or water exposure that could have caused this; instead, it appears to have failed at random. I'm hoping to be able to reach out to customer service to see if they can assist me or figure out what the problem is. I'd hate to lose such a wonderful source of illumination!.
It appears to be a high-end lamp. The only thing I didn't like about it was how tight you had to crank the butt to get it to touch the batteries. It wouldn't turn on if that wasn't the case. So I sent the first one back because I thought it had problems, and the second one I got did the same thing, but when I got frustrated, I cranked down the butt and the light turned on. This was never an issue with any of my other olights. I avoided overtightening the butt end at all costs. So that's a heads up.
It's an Olight; it's tough, bright, and has a strange battery, but I'm sure I'll be able to use it as long as I don't lose it. 10 years from now, it will be held in the same way as the m2r warrior, which is the flashlight on the left side of my photo. It's a little heavier and fatter, but it throws farther. I only have two issues: one, I prefer my flashlight to be face down in my holder so that when I draw it out, it's in my hand the way I want it to be; and two, the head on this one is too big to fit in the holder face down. This, like all Olights, uses a unique battery that cannot be used with any of the company's other flashlights. Having said that, I haven't fully discharged any of my Olight batteries yet, and I did get the M2R Warrior with two batteries, so I'd like to get another for this and my H2R. I suppose it's a third issue because it appears that the only way to get a battery is to order it directly from their website. I'm not sure how much shipping costs, but as I previously stated, my concerns are more about personal preference. I'd prefer flashlights with interchangeable batteries, but if that's the price I have to pay for this level of quality, I'm okay with it.
Very good weight, brightness, and appearance, but both lights had defective charge cords out of the box, and these are very specific to flash lights. What are the chances that two completely different models have the same problem with charging? Needless to say, I am dissatisfied, as they have some of the highest star ratings on this site. Yes, I am a discerning shopper and have worked as a quality assurance inspector for many years. That being said, after I submitted my review, this is the ONLY company that has ever responded with something along the lines of "DON'T GIVE US A ONE STAR, WE ARE A FIVE STAR COMPANY, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM"? The issue is that I spent over $300 on two lights, and the QC is lacking, causing my week in the field to be ruined by the lack of "RECHARGEABLE" capabilities, resulting in a bad training week. br>I am fairly certain that this company is honest, but their response to my review added salt to my wounds. Not cool. Both lights were turned off, and the company was never purchased any more equipment from. BAD C S. BR>BAD C S. BR>BAD C S. BR>BAD C.
The battery was half-charged when it arrived in the box (2 status lights). I've experimented with five different charging platforms. Three different phone chargers, a bulk USB charging dock, and a computer USB port all had their charging status lights change from green (when plugged into USB port but not connected to light) to red (when connected to light), indicating that they were charging. The light was left plugged into each charging source for four to twelve hours, but the battery would not charge beyond the two original status lights. I intend to return. A lanyard, instead of a holster, would have been a better and less expensive option. When the battery has two status lights, the turbo mode will not turn on.
Very bright, good charging cable, and good battery life. br>br>VERY HOT! It's easy to trip over the switch, and it can melt through a vinyl belt sheath. Keep an eye out. To prevent this, there is a lockout feature, so read the manual carefully.
A good light beam. When you need fast light, the on/off button is difficult to find. It would be preferable if the on/off switch was located on the back of the flash light. The latching button that secures the flashlight in the holster is difficult to operate; it requires a lot of finger pressure, and aiming can be frustrating. It's preferable if it could be done with just one hand instead of two.
