Thank you for asking me a Weighing 0 grams per strap, leather straps are thick. I am 7 inches tall.

What if I want to use it on an M44 ?

You can absolutely use this on your M44 carbine in a stylish manner

Can this be used with Turkish Mausers?

You will no doubt be able to work it out. The way it is attached is all that matters. You can hold the sling using leather straps by inserting them into places in the mosin. It's likely that conventional d rings can be used if that is what you need.

In what range does the maximum length fall?

It is possible to adjust the strap out to a maximum of A quarter to a half inch (maybe more)

It is hard to understand why this has such high ratings

Even though I buy a lot of surplus electronics, I know that the condition will not be great, but something like this is unbearable. I received the sling in a state of disrepair and was unable to use It is my hope that Amazon does not repackage the item for the next person to receive a similar result. I had to return the item for a refund.

That adds character, even if it is a bit moldy and rusted? Upon arrival, I discovered that my sling was covered in mold and rust

It is going on a 100 year Mosin, so I would complain about it, but I suppose that adds "character" to it.

A new old stock that is in perfect condition

It was never used or issued, so it arrived in brand new condition. With an old rifle I got in the same condition from 1948, this rifle was the perfect match.

Thanks for taking the time to read this! This strap would be perfect, but I can't attach it to my firearm because it arrived without one of the two buckles required. As of now, I can't find any other method to communicate this to the seller than to leave.

He is rusty

The sling is a surplus item, but I figured it would have been in better condition than what it is. A layer of rust covered the metal on the sling. Rust stains appeared on the canvas as well.
