ACCURACY: Reticle leveling is an important part of a scope's accuracy, and the Level-Level-Level can help you do it correctly.
EASY TO USE: Accuracy is dependent on properly securing fasteners, and the Wheeler F. It's simple with Wrench.

Questions & Answers

Is there a power drill extension for the lapping tool included in the kit?

Yes, the extension was included in my kit. It's about 6 inches long and has a spring on one end to reduce torque. It's visible in the photo, I believe.

Is there a carrying case included with this?

Mine came with a well-made hard case that fit perfectly.

Is there a single kit that includes tools for both 1 inch and 30 mm, or do you have to buy two separate kits?

It includes almost everything you'll need to mount a 1" or 30mm scope. The leveling kit is an excellent feature to have, and it is included in this kit. Also of good quality is the torque driver. I've used this kit a few times and would highly recommend it.

Is this kit necessary for the one-piece mount or is it unnecessary? For a Remington 700, I have the dnz game reaper mount. ?

If you want to lap your rings, which I recommend unless you're using vertically split rings like Warne Rings, you'll need this kit. The torque screwdriver and levels, among the other items in the kit, are helpful in the mounting process.

Tools for installing scopes that are well-made
5/5

Let me start by saying that I bought the Professional Reticle Leveling System and the Professional Scope Mounting Kit Combo as a package deal. The yellow/gold anodized pieces shown in the plastic storage box are the two pieces that come with the Professional Reticle Leveling System. While this Reticle Leveling kit comes with its own plastic storage box, I'm confident that the extra storage spots in the Scope Mounting Kit box are intended for storing the extra pieces as I've shown them. br>br>After about 20 years, I decided to upgrade the scope on my hunting rifle. Because I went from a 1" scope to a 30mm scope, I needed to replace the rings. After installing the rings, I used this kit to lap them down. WAS THIS ACTUALLY REQUIRED? Some people will say yes, while others will say no; I'm not sure, but after spending $750 on a scope, I believe it was a worthwhile investment. And this kit made it a breeze to do so. br>br>I'm a big fan of the reticle leveling tools. I believe it was a success in getting the reticle level and plumb on the rifle.

The product is not at all bad
4/5

I used it to set up a UTG BugBuster 3-in-1. On my Henry 30-mm, I have a 9x scope. (h009 - h009) h009 h009 h00 It did the job (despite the fact that my eyesight isn't what it used to be). For this purpose, it came with the most common screwdriver heads, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the torque wrench/screwdriver worked. The levelers are a little off, but if you don't like them, you can get better ones. I went ahead and used them anyway, and I was able to set the crosshairs to within a millimeter of where they needed to be. br>br>The fact that it wasn't double-checked was extremely disappointing. The box was opened when it was delivered, despite the fact that it had been boxed for shipping. Even worse, I wrote a review about it, which Amazon removed because I was only allowed to write about the product - They suggested I contact customer service about the shipping, which I did three times and never received a response - ever. As a result, I have no way of knowing if anything in my set was missing or damaged. Based on my experience putting the scope on, it appears to be fine.

It's a must if you want to properly install rings and scope
5/5

Installing a scope correctly is a breeze with this tool. I purchased this to use with two-piece Leupold base/rings to install a scope on a Savage LRPV. Aligning the rings and then lapping them in was a breeze with this kit. The levels came in handy when it came to aligning the scope with the rifle. If you can follow basic instructions, this is a no-brainer. I'm not sure I'd trust my expensive guns and scopes in the hands of just any gunsmith, and I certainly wouldn't trust them in the hands of the guys behind the counter of retail stores because you never know what they'll do with them. Personally, I prefer to have the job done correctly the first time, and the kit costs about the same as having one scope installed. It will take you about 30 minutes from start to finish to expertly mount a scope with this, and you will have it for future projects.

High-quality kit, but be aware that you will be receiving a used kit
4/5

This kit simplifies the process of properly installing a scope. br>br>I'm not going to blame the product; it's clearly Amazon or Wheeler's fault, but despite paying for a new kit, I received a used one. Tape was used to secure the box. br> When I first opened it, it smelled like something had been burned, and upon closer inspection, I noticed that the blue lock tight had a large burn on the side, which reeked. It was obvious that the blue lock had been used by tightening it. My guess is that someone bought it, mounted a scope on it, burned the blue lock shut, and then quickly returned it. After that, neither Amazon nor Wheeler checked to see if it was still in use.

The bubble level scope mounting level technique was not working for me
3/5

The bubble level was the only flaw I found in this set-up. level. Wheeler assumes that the cross hairs (reticle) are perfectly aligned with the adjustment turrets on all scopes. This setup was not used to mount the scope, which is a Vortex Crossfire II. I was able to level the rifle using one of the levels designed to bridge the action, and then align the crosshairs with the rifle using a plumb bob. That worked fine, as did the lapping setup, though I'm not a fan of having abrasives so close to my rifle action. Wheeler doesn't mention it in their online video or written instructions, so I did a good job of covering the action. The kit received three stars from me. Wheeler fails to recognize that scope turrets may not be aligned with the crosshairs (reticle) in some cases. The "action" level for bridging the receiver, on the other hand, was a godsend.

When you first mount scope rings to your gun, you'll be surprised at how far out of alignment they are
5/5

I've been hunting for more than 50 years, and I've never given much thought to mounting scopes on guns for myself or others. In the year 2020, I made the decision to build a long-range rifle and purchased this kit. HOLY COW. What an unexpected turn of events. Every set of rings I've mounted to scopes is misaligned, which becomes apparent as soon as you start honing them. Un- Every factory rifle in the world has to be distorted by honed rings. Because the scope bases/rings are locked in place and cannot be adjusted, I assumed everything was in place, which was not the case. To get the rings pointed a few thou, many things could go wrong during the rifle's manufacturing. Even when the machinery is running properly, it rotates in different directions. When you remove your scope, do you ever notice the scope marks? When you crank the ring screws down to hold the scope tight you are marking the scope tube 99 of the time. Bending the tube even slightly causes the prisms and erector inside to become misaligned, which is bad for the scope. I was persuaded by the first set of rings I honed. This setup is the only way I'll ever mount another scope. A GREAT VALUE, not just a good deal. The only thing I didn't like about it was how stiff the honing compound was. I bought some valve lapping compound from an autoparts store and it spreads out better when I ran the hone. I really like the drill attachment; it makes honing so much easier, and using the alignment pins to see if it made a difference is a great idea. I've seen rings with misaligned prongs. 020- When you first start out, you should aim for a score of 030 or higher, and when you're done, you should have a score of 030 or higher.
