Questions & Answers

I noticed that once installed, you CAN and DO SEE the IRON SIGHTS CLEARLY, according to the description. I just want to double-check before I make a purchase. ?

When the scope and mounts are removed from my Take Down, I can just make out the top of the notch and pin of the iron sights through the valley of the rail. Although the rifle can be shot this way, I believe the use of the iron sights is far too severely hampered to make it a viable option; This will be replaced with a Williams Ace in the Hole rail and sight.

Is this a genuine mil-spec picatinny rail? Is it, in other words, compatible? Instead of the weaver, 206" wide mil spec slots were used. Slots of 180" ?

Yes, this is a picatinny rail in the true sense of the word.

ruger?

Ruger 10/22, that is correct. I place one on my opponent and take him down. It fits perfectly; all you have to do is tighten the supplied screw a little. To prevent the lock Tight from dripping into the bolt area, turn the gun and raise the trigger. UTG produces high-quality goods at a reasonable cost.

Will this fit a Wincester SXP 2013 model with white lettering (rather than red lettering) and predrilled holes on the top (with small screws already in place)?

A Ruger 10/22 receiver was used to create this. Other mounts for the Wincester SXP 2013 are likely to be created, as almost everything is available on the internet. Although Google will find almost anything, it may take some time.

For a 10/22 Takedown, this will not work
4/5

The quality of the product was excellent. Iron sights are protected by this cover
3/5

I tried it on my 10/22 takedown and it worked great. The rail has a notch, according to the description, so iron sights can still be used. Only the top of the front sight is visible because the rear sight is completely covered. I can't even return it to Amazon because they won't take it back. If you want to use iron sights, it will be a waste of time and money.

It appears that they did a good job on the one I received
3/5

The one I purchased appears to have been well-made. Because I work as a machinist, I can be a bit picky when it comes to things like this. The holes are exactly where they should be in terms of centering. With some lower-end mounts, this isn't always the case. The hole pattern spacing, on the other hand, was a tad off. Because the hole pattern was slightly off from the two outside holes on my Ruger 10/22 reciver, I had to use a very small round file to create an elongated hole in each end hole of this UTG mount. It appears to be in good cosmetic condition (there are no visible flaws). With lower-end mounts, this isn't always the case. There are a lot of slot machines in the area. (210 wide) 208 - For a picatinny rail, 210 is a good number. This was purchased in order to add a red dot to a new 10/22 takedown.

The rail is good, but the screws are bad
4/5

The rail is a perfect fit for my 10-year-old daughter. 22, the bottom of this mount's contour matches the receiver's top perfectly, and all four mounting screw holes are perfectly positioned. I didn't read all of the other reviews, but I don't recall anyone mentioning the 6-piece set that came with it. a total of 48 screws They're a complete waste of time. They have a shoddy finish (looks powder coated) and a very shallow head slot; If you try to torque these down, the head will be stripped. I'm not sure they're machine grade steel at all. Instead of shearing one off and ruining my receiver, I replaced them with Brownell's torx head machine screws. Full marks for the rail this time, but they were docked a star for including sub-standard materials. screws of the same type One of the five screws included with the rail mount is shown on the right, while the one on the left is a proper blued steel machine screw.

They fit perfectly, lined up perfectly, and were torqued to the Ruger recommended 12 to pound torque
5/5

This is the second one I've purchased and set up. One is based on a 1980 10/22, while the other is based on a brand new Takedown model that was just purchased yesterday. They fit perfectly, the holes line up perfectly, and the screws were torqued to the Ruger recommended 12 to 15 inch pounds with a light dab of blue loctite, allowing for more accessories than the stock weaver mount would allow. I was inspired to write this after seeing a review with a picture where the person had it backwards and said it didn't fit. Although the screws fit well and do not penetrate too deeply, I chose the Ruger mount's screws because they are of higher quality. I have a 1980 Simmons 4x32 and instead of shooting at the bullseye, I shoot around it, removing the bullseye with one ten round magazine @ 25 yards, quarter size groups @ 50 yards. It does have a Volquartsen hammer kit 2. It weighs 5 pounds, has a bolt release and a mag release, and has been through thousands of rounds. The Ruger BX trigger, which weighs in at 2 lbs, was just delivered to The Takedown today. It will soon be fitted with the UTG Bugbuster scope.

For My Old 10/22, the screws are too long
4/5

My Ruger 10/22 is probably 30 years old, so the screws that came with it might fit newer 10/22s. br>I purchased this rail to use with my rifle to mount a Red Dot sight. An ironsighter ring set is being used to replace a scope mounted directly to the rifle. br>The rail itself is fine; it was well-machined, and the screw holes were perfectly aligned. br>The screws that were provided were threaded correctly. When I was putting everything together for the first time, I ran into a problem. The second from the front screw inched up against the bolt, locking it in place. Also, the included screws have shallower screwdriver grooves and more crowned heads than mine, making tightening them difficult. Thankfully, I still had the old screws from the scope's mounting. They're just the right size. In the caliper pictures, you can see the length difference. br>After measuring and doing some math, I discovered that my screw grooves are. 18mm more depth. It may not seem like much, but it makes a big difference when it comes to getting a good bite to tighten with a screw driver, especially when combined with the head design. The differences can be seen in the photos.

Picatinny rail made by UTG (United Technologies Group)
5/5

Excellent fit and function at a reasonable price. I threaded the 6-inch needle with care and GINGERLY. Before even mounting the rail on the receiver, I hand-threaded 48 smallish screws into the receiver to get them threaded in. If one doesn't seem to want to thread in, try it in a different location and use a new screw in the opening that didn't work the first time. Once all of the screws are threaded, remove them from the rail and set them aside in line so you can install the screws in the same order. There should never be an issue with cross-referencing if you take your time. threading any type of screw Finish with a dab of BLUE Loctite (put some on a flat toothpick, dab carefully onto the threads, making sure none drips down onto the bolt, or the bolt will eventually seize up) and you're done. If you apply a single drop of BLUE Loctite to the receiver in the middle, where the rail will sit, it will help provide additional adhesion between the top of the receiver and the bottom curved part of the rail, preventing recoil loosening over time.
