Questions & Answers
This Streamlight battery (pn 75375) is a direct replacement for the one that came with your Stinger model 75014 flashlight (pn75175). According to the Streamlight website, this battery is compatible with your flashlight. The only distinction is that pn75175 is a NiCad with a rating of 3. pn75375 is a NiMH battery with a rating of 3. 6V 1800mAh and pn75375 is a NiMH battery with a rating of 3. 2200mAh at 6 volts As a result, the NiMH battery is more up to date and will last longer.
Yes. The 75175 is a NiCad version of the battery, while the 75375 is a NiMh version. The NiMh battery is much better, but it is more expensive. Many rechargeable tools sold in "big box" stores still use NiCad batteries, so be cautious when purchasing this "older" technology.
My stinger is at least ten years old and has a button on the side of the light body (I figured that's what you meant), and this battery still works perfectly! The battery life has been nearly doubled!
It was packaged in a clear tube with a yellow cap.

For our Streamlights, NiMH "is" the way to go; Li batteries may be better for some things (many, in fact), but NOT for ours. Streamlight is a brand name for a flashlight. br>I've been using NiMH batts in my Streamlights for years and have been very pleased with them. I went to Amazon to replace one of mine that was over 5 years old and didn't seem to be holding the charge as well as it used to. I noticed that they now sell Li replacement batts while doing so. I thought they sounded good, were lighter, and had no memory effect (despite the fact that I had never noticed a memory effect on any of my previous Ni-based products). I could use my existing charger for MH batteries because I usually run them until they dim, then charge them completely. br>My main complaint about the Li replacement was that you had ABSOLUTELY! There was no warning that the battery would die (I now use a LED Streamlight). It will be bright for one second and then turn off for the next. I was worried my LED had burned out the first few times (and still am), and note that once this happens, no amount of sitting will allow the Li to return for a few more seconds of light; it will be off until you charge it. This is my main gripe with Li in our Streamlights; it's completely useless as an emergency flashlight; there's no warning when the battery will die, and when it does, the flashlight will turn off and won't turn back on until it's recharged. Compare this to a NiMH battery, such as the one for sale here, which dims for several seconds as a warning that it is about to die, and even after it dies, all you have to do is turn it off for 30 seconds or so, and it will give you several more seconds of light when you turn it back on. Again, NiMH allows you to do this multiple times, which is great in an emergency, but Li does not.
I've only had the battery for a few days, so I can't comment on its longevity, but the flashlight is back to working order. These replacements worked well because the old batteries were three years old and no longer held a charge. They're about an eighth of an inch bigger than the old ones, but that didn't seem to make a difference. They arrived in Streamlight packaging that was sealed. br>br>UPDATE: 6/4/18br> Up until this weekend, the batteries (of which I bought two) performed admirably. One has lost its ability to hold a charge for more than a few minutes. It only lasted a few weeks. During repeated charging attempts, I double-checked that all charging contacts were clean and that the flashlight was properly seated on the charger, but it still won't charge. Others had made the same observation about the battery's life. My rating has been reduced from 5 to 2 stars.
I used both of my chargers to charge all four batteries. The batteries worked well at first, but after three months, two of them only worked for a short time. They'd both be dead in a matter of days. The two batteries are no longer capable of lasting a single day of charging. A 50% failure rate of 80% is horrendous. To rule out the chargers, I rotated all four batteries through both chargers, and the same two batteries are still having issues. I would not purchase these items again.
My old stinger with piggy back charger came with two NICD batteries that were getting old (4 years) and wouldn't hold a charge for more than 30 minutes, so I replaced them with two of the NIMH batteries, which work perfectly, charge with my old charger, and fit perfectly in my old Stinger light. I wasn't sure if they'd work together, but they do, and I can now get the majority of a day's use out of one NIMH battery, and it's so bright that I have to dim it to the medium setting. The Streamlight battery packaging claims to be compatible with all Stinger products. In addition, my tool truck dealer wanted $30-$40 more than the $14 on Amazon. 35 for one of the NICD batteries, which is a fantastic upgrade to a fantastic light at an unbelievable price.
It was well worth the money. Buy it. It works great in fact it works better than the original battery seems to last a little bit longer and the light shines about 10 to 15% brighter with this battery, don t know I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm a security officer, and I keep my light on all night every night. It's my eyes, and I'd be blind if I didn't have them. It's also worth mentioning that it appears to charge up much faster than the factory battery.
The old batteries were made up of cells imported from Japan. The new one had cells made in China and was assembled in China, which was a disappointment. So far, everything has gone well. BTW: These are genuine batteries, complete with a rubber cap. The color is black, and it is packaged properly.
THIS WAS PURCHASED FOR MY STREAM LIGHT. I BELIEVED THAT BUYING AN ORIGINAL BATTERY WOULD BE BETTER THAN BUYING AN OFF BRAND. MY OFF BRAND, WHICH I PURCHASED TWO YEARS AGO, IS STILL IN USE. AFTER A CHARGE, THIS ONE WILL ONLY LAST A COUPLE OF MINUTES. I HAVE TWO LIGHTS AND HAVE TESTED IT IN BOTH OF THEM. NEITHER OF THESE PRODUCTS WILL LAST FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES OF USE.
