Questions & Answers

What about tent seams? Is this going to work for that?

If you need something that will be breathable while shedding water droplets, then this is the answer. To remain waterproof, a seam sealer must not permit water access. I have found Aquaseal to be one of the best seam sealers I have tried. Congratulations on your new job!

The size of a canvas trap can be determined by one can of non-seal ?

Those are the two cans I bought. LARGE popup camper canvas sealed between two cans ( four sides of the bed and two ends of the bed = 54 square feet). As well as treating the two sides completely, I sprayed 60 square feet. Total area is about 114 sq. ft. *br>I put it on thick, and there was a quarter of a can left over when I was finished

Is there a difference between this (permanent) and silicone water-based makeup Atsko's guard and Atsko's guard?

It isn't clear to me. We are able to do the job with it.

Heat guns can activate large items, but what if the items are small?

I don't see how it would be a problem. I think it will work just fine as long as the amount of the item is sufficient.

I had a poor experience from beginning to end
3/5

I am not pleased with this product. There was an issue The following terminology should be used *br The shipping method is In a box with a few other items, the item shipped rolling around. Even when ordering, it failed to include a lid for the aerosol can so the spray nozzle was free to press against the box and cover my other items. It looks like the spray nozzle eventually fell off the can and it would still spray through just the feed tube. The following terminology should be used *br Use this form to apply (Of course) in one quarter of the can of propellant the can ran out of propellant. My guess is because propellant was lost during shipping, but I see other reviews that complain about running out, so maybe there just wasn't much out there to start Putting it on something that already has a semi-durable nature Waterproofing is challenging, because it is based on water, so if your garment was already waterproof, it tends to just wash away. The following terminology should be used *br The following performance was achieved (After removing the remaining product from the can) I applied it to a ski jacket and pants, but it didn't seem to make a real difference. My application (which was not available on the can, you had to go to the manufacturer's site to find it) was all done according to directions except for using the special (expensive) detergent before applying. After removing any existing residue from the items, I ran them through a couple of no-detergent cycles to remove any detergent residue. The product, as far as I can tell, had no effect on the items water sprayed on the items behaves as it did before application, and the snow absorbs just as quickly after Ultimately, it may not be worth the money spent on it. As far as Scotchguard products for this application go, I have used them in the past, and while they weren't perfect (which is why I was trying a new product), they at least worked. The Amazon system does not allow 0 stars, so you get a.

The product is good, but be sure to use the entire can at one time
3/5

As far as I know, the product worked satisfactorily for restoring water repellency to quite a few other items, such as a golf umbrella, golf hat, etc. In line with the guidelines, I kept the unused portion of the food in a household closet. I first got sputtering spray from it at first, and then nothing when I went back to use it approximately 12 months after first using it. The can had at least half of its volume left after shaking it. Upon initial use, the spray did come out milky, so I assume that there was some particulate matter stuck in the spray mechanism that clogged it. changed nozzles, and also tried holding down the central stem with needle nose pliers, and would only get a few sputters before giving up. The frustration is real. I recommend, if possible, to line up a set of items at one time, so that you don't have to worry about this issue in the future.

DWR produced in a factory
5/5

There are two pieces of gear I have, an Arcteryx 3L Gore Tex Pro ski pant and a TNF Summit Series jacket, both In 2007, I bought both of these objects, and I put them through an extreme amount of wear and tear since then. Since the factory DWR has long since worn off, this is to be expected. The DWR has been revived with a variety of treatments over the last four years. With Nikwax, both wash in and spray on, and Revivex, again both wash in and spray on, only limited success was achieved. Although I tried several applications, I couldn't get the fabric back to its original water-shedding property. My opinion was changed when I tried this product. I followed the instructions to the letter, including recommendations on how to properly clean your washing machine. It is the ONLY product I have tried to date that truly gives you DWR performance that is on par if not better than the factory installation! It cost me over $1000 for these two pieces, and I expect to get another 7 years of service out of them because of this product! It is either the best product you will ever use or you won't regret it! Don't let this opportunity pass you by!.

This is outstanding! You must heat it to cure the problem
5/5

If you want, you can read the rest of this article. With the application of this product, an outfit I wore while hunting that had no water repellency suddenly became A heat source is needed in order to make it function. The silicone water guard can be used instead if the container cannot be heated. I find an iron to be incredibly useful. Almost no dryer can reach a high enough temperature. You should place them in the dryer when they are already dry and set it to the highest heat setting for one hour to bring the temperature up to the right level. It is even better to bake something at 225°F provided you do not accidentally burn down your house.

I really like it
5/5

I used this on my Helly Hanson WPB jacket and it worked like a charm. A few beads of water float Although I have not experienced torrential downpours, I have exposed it to some light rain, no problem, put it under a hood, and it never got wet. I have no problems. The directions must be followed. In one can, two jackets were taken care of. You should do this in your garage since the application is a bit messy. Nevertheless, I am completely satisfied with the product and have bought another one. The price was well worth it.

Using it is very easy and it does not emit a lot of odor
5/5

This spray is very easy to use and does not have an overwhelming amount of odor. My cloth diaper shells were beginning to fall apart, so I used it on them. So far, the water beads off easily and the shells seem to be fully fixed. Rather than having to buy new shells, this is much better!.

Before the contents run out of air, the can runs out of air
3/5

On the label of the can are different instructions than on the instructions in writing. In my rush to activate the chemical, I did not make sure that the spray-sprayed jackets were completely dry before putting them in the dryer. As luck would have it, I had a successful outcome. Two of these were already in my possession when two more were ordered, and I My experience has been that, at least on my two cans used, the air in the can runs out before the contents can be emptied. My solution was to purchase some 6oz spray bottles, then utilize a small awl to poke a tiny hole in the top of the can (after making sure it was not pressurized at all). As soon as I was assured there was no more air in the can, I used a round chisel to make a larger opening and then used a Sharpie to label my spray bottle to collect the contents. Approximately two ounces of fluid were left in the can at the time of my inspection. The problem is not as big a deal for me as it.

It gave me an opportunity to refresh my skiing skills since I am an instructor Protect my uniform with water-resistant materials. I was recommended this product by a colleague This is a good team and works well. It would be a good purchase for me Plan accordingly, because I used up the entire can on two pairs of ski pants and one ski jacket.
