To set on or stakes, I used concrete landscape squares for setting on or feet, unless you live in a town with 50 to 60 feet of water. Considering the wind speeds of 60 mph, I don't see a reason to use this. The overall performance is better than those of the American Standard
Neither I nor my family members use panels however, I think the purpose of the panel is to keep the battery charged, not to power the feeders.

I can never recommend Moultrie products to anyone. There used to be some quality and a decent price with them, but now I am left with only two feeders working after buying 3 batteries here on Amazon, 5 feeders, and 7 replacement feeder timers. There is no longer any way to charge or hold all three batteries. Apparently, their customer service line is overloaded and they disconnect you after an hour, so there must be lots of complaints. It's been over a week since I tried to contact you by email. Customer service was terrible. There is no way to replace Dan Moultrie's name or quality on these products. We have worked with him and he has sold out and should be ashamed of himself. The past two years have shown us that this product was not good for our business, and I would never recommend anything with the Moultrie name to anybody who values their time and.

A 30 second period of control panel operation followed before it crashed. A customer service representative from Moultrie told me to buy a different 6volt, 5amp battery. She pointed out that it didn't have to be a battery issue, and said that happens about 80% of the time. Or I was able to come to my hunting club (4 hours round trip) and take the feeder kit out to send back the old one. It will save time and keep me from having to make two trips to the hunting club by mailing the new kit and returning the faulty one. I asked if they would mail me the replacement kit and I'd return the faulty one after swapping them out. This was told to me that was not going to happen. I could just buy another $19 battery (with 5 amps this time) and I went to a local store and bought another $85 feeder kit (I knew it was the feeder kit) since I couldn't My hunting season would indeed be over, but it doesn't say that you have to have a 6volt 5amp battery in the literature on this product. I tried replacing the battery, but it didn't work No surprise there, but the new feeder kit got the job done. I also have 3 extra 6volt batteries and one defective feeder kit now that I have a fully functional feeder. When you buy one of these, just pray it works right when you set it up for the first time. In any case.

The moment could not be more perfect for me. When I pair this up with the solar charger, I have had nothing but success! I still have a long way to go to get the timing just right since it throws a lot more corn than my old feeder. that I would like to see changed is the top to be hinged. The top of a ladder, where you're on top of a ladder, doesn't attach to the feeder in any way. It is just a pain in the patushka. Nevertheless, I give it a 5 out of 5 rating! You can count on me for future purchases!.

In order to ensure the solar wiring wouldn't be chewed on, I used hardware wire mesh to cover the wiring. Since I used an aftermarket solar panel, I had to create an adapter to fit the port. In my experience, the menu is the easiest to use.

The feeder was filled with corn and left for 2 weeks, but 2 weeks later it was completely clogged and no corn was spreading. A clean kernel of corn was purchased from me. In the first two weeks after installation, I expect there to be no clogging of the feeder. I understand the feeder will have to be cleaned over time and could clog, however. I also tried to use the remote control, which claims it is compatible, but managed to discover that it does not work after spending hours at it. In addition to the solar panel kit, it was also ordered. I wouldn't waste my time on it. Cheap flimsy plastic, and the wire is not long enough to plug into the wall.
Moultrie was once a quality product. When working in the initial stages, clogging seems to be the reason for a 1 star rating. Since I could see the corn inside the cap was secure, I am 100% sure that the container was sealed. Purchased this item once and will not purchase it.

Until I have the parts to assemble the feeder, I cannot make it. It is unclear why Moultrie has not included a funnel with the feeder so that the corn is fed through the center of the unit. It was a bit disappointing that the feeder did not come with the barrel since it's imperative in order to keep corn from building up in the corners In the context of accessories, the funnel is considered to be a useful object. In addition, I was disappointed in the lock on the door. The lid is enclosed in a ring. In the ring, there is a bolt that you tighten to keep the ring attached. An easier way to use it in the cold would have been with a cam lever and a fastener. It may not be easy to remove when it is cold outside.

There is something quality about this feeder, and it is worth every penny. I like how easy it is to assemble and how well it works. In order to prevent corn from spoiling around the sides, I bought a funnel to hang inside the barrel. As well as buying and installing the feeder remote control, I also rewired the feeder enclosure. The only thing one needs to do is follow the directions and it all comes When I need to add corn in a couple of weeks, I will receive the poly lid. A small amount of water does collect in the split ring and recessed barrel lid. Although I don't hunt, I use it as a deer feeder in my back yard. It is always great to see the herd of deer that comes around here to eat, touch the mineral rocks, and take In my opinion, this feeder shouldn't have too many problems, as it should last for many years.

I bought it A raccoon chewed through the lid (and then the spinner electronics were damaged due to the corn tank being drowned in water), so I replaced the spinner and lid (which cost over half as much as a standard less than a month, the raccoons chewed through the new lid (don't worry, the water did not get into the spinning It was just a few days ago that I put up this metal corn feeder. As far as I can tell, it seems to last much longer than the plastic one did. Unlike some other comments, I agree with the conclusion that the $25 plastic funnel is a must, not an accessory as Moultrie describes it (this metal feeder costs an extra $25).
