It was the only product that offered such a quantity of leaders in several different sizes at such a low price. This is a risk in my opinion, but it might be worth a shot. Compared with more expensive leaders, these clasp leaders are less beefy, but seem solid enough for the claim of 30 pounds that the packaging makes. In Ontario, I plan to catch pike that rarely cross 5 pounds - I believe these will do the trick. If these ones fail, I have a handful of more expensive leaders as a backup. In any case, I'll update my review once I fish with them, but upon receipt, it appears to be well made and is plenty strong for any adventure I intend to go on such as my 20 pound fishing adventure.
It is ranked 5 stars when it comes to value. A quality rating of less than 1 star is warranted. The snap will always strip your catch each time you try to make a catch.
The only thing I would change is that the leader lines were two feet or longer, otherwise these are perfect.
My favorite part about having one on when the 'Cuda came in and eaten my small Jack in the water was that it gave me security!.
Ice fishing season is in full swing, and these have performed well thus far. The whole process has gone smoothly without any breaks, and all the reports came in on time and were fully functional.
I've used them quite a bit. I really like them. You get a lot for what you pay for and the hooks stay on them well.
That's what I plan on doing (I hope). The leaders are not made by me I ordered them because I was lazy. There are no signs of problems from what I can see. Those snaps seem a little flimsy, but I'll just have to hope the crimps and snaps will hold up under pressure. My intention was to catch medium salt water fish between 10 to 15 pounds with the 30 lb rigs.
