With a barrel swivel and 50# braided line, 50# Cajun line is the choice for me. Whenever I tie my lures to anything other than a steel leader, the imperfections in their eyes cut through my lines, eventually, causing the lure to sail in the deep on random casts. If your line wraps around your rod or reel and you cast, then do not bother. After watching them break free while casting from my kayak, I have caught them off land after I have been through two or three of these. They eventually go to the bottom of the sea. My efforts at filing have even been unsuccessful. It took about 50 casts to remove it from the beach tonight.
The lure is a bit cheap. There's not really a lot of quality in the materials, it's light for the size and sort of reminds me of a flutter spoon by shape. Because the hook is brazed onto the lure, it cannot be replaced. It is super cheap and can't be changed. The most part works, but it might be better to spend just a couple extra dollars and get something a bit better quality like a hammered hopkin or something comparable.
