It is going to sink. It's fantastic for catching small trout. But not for those who are taller than 20 inches.

Yellow. (corn)
I've never tried it on bass, but trout love it, and I caught my limit of them this year in the Tennessee Mountains.

A thousand words can't express how powerful pictures can be. a ten in Rainbow Trout, a ten in Rainbow Trout, a ten in Rainbow Tr Rainbow has a 5 and a nearly 13 in it. I started catching Rainbow Trout (Shark River Park, Neptune, NJ) by using these eggs rigged with half a worm on a size 8 hook. I'll admit that I didn't always catch fish, but it was a big step forward. These salmon eggs were causing a lot of traffic on Spring Lake in Spring Lake, NJ. Power Bait / Worm and various lures were used on my other two poles. No hits! I think you'll enjoy it if you give it a shot.
This is a fantastic method. Every time we've used it, we've gotten stock rainbow trout. After the jar has been opened for a while, the eggs become a little soft, making it easier for the trout to remove them from the hook. It does, however, work well, and we have never been skunked since discovering this bait (caught trout each of the four times we brought it with us). We've caught bluegill and green sunfish on it, and the trout will do a little zig zag as they approach it, getting closer to it with each pass before biting. We'd like to try it as a panfish bait in August, when the bite has slowed significantly.
Because trout season is upon us, I'll make use of these. The jar was wet with oil and the lid was a little loose when it arrived. About a third of the way up from the bottom, the fluid level is at a safe level. Mike's salmon eggs have never given me any problems. We usually shop at a local store, but now that we're in the Covid zone, we're experimenting with mail order.
They're popular with trout and other fish, especially largemouth bass, which can be found in North Carolina. Mike's eggs seem to hold up well due to their freshness, and they stay on the hook for a long time. I'd like a T-shirt, and I'm thinking about making a fishing video for you guys on YouTube soon. I'm considering starting something and teaching others how to create and illustrate high-quality content.
They've never been caught. Don't throw your money away.
The eggs in this bottle of salmon eggs were mushy and wouldn't stay on the hook, so it was practically useless. They're probably good for feeding fish, but not so much for catching them. I'm not sure if this had been sitting around for a long time or what, but it was not up to the standard of quality I had come to expect.
I always buy the same eggs and have never had an issue, but when I opened the jar, I discovered that these eggs had been sitting around for a while, wrinkled and unhappy.
