No, the physical sizes of a locking 120V/20A and a locking 120V/30A are not interchangeable. You're on the lookout for a L5-equipped vehicle. Adapter number 20
It's made to be plugged in to shore power and then plugged into a 110 V appliance or extension cord. Mine converts a 30 AMP shore power service to a 100 V output [standard house current] very nicely.
This will work with a standard extension cord, but purchasing a shore power cord is the best long-term solution.
At Lake Mead, I used mine on the dock, in the boat, in the rain, and with no snow. I, on the other hand, had no issues at all. Not a single one. I'm glad I made the purchase. I hope this has been of assistance.

This is the best option for adapting a locking 120V 30A receptacle to accommodate a 15 or 20 piece of equipment with a standard wall plug. Now, I'll admit that there are less expensive options, but when it comes to electrical equipment, I prefer something that has been UL listed. Marinco is, in my opinion, a reliable brand. This is part of the EEL series, which is new to them. Because there is no special locking weather seal, unlike some of their other EEL connectors, this is simply a branding issue. The connections, on the other hand, are secure, and the construction is of good quality. In the end, if you want something you can leave unattended without worrying about it failing during normal use, this is the adaptor for you.
When I plugged the first one in, it popped, flashed, and died. It was taken over by Amazon. When I plugged in the second one, the led flashed once and then went out (the led indicator was the reason I bought it), but the plug continued to work. I dismantled it and discovered two small wires capable of shifting the loose insulation away from them. I took apart an AC tester light and used the led to create a new indicator light. It's been altered, but at least I can tell if it's working at a glance, and I don't have to send it back to get another that might not work. Will seriously consider purchasing this item/brand again in the future.
I have a pontoon boat and this converter works great for converting shore power to a regular extension cord. It can be used as a pressure washer and a battery tender in the slip.
A great way to get 120v on your land yacht for a reasonable price. I hired an electrician to rewire my motorhome, and he went a little crazy. I thought I was in big trouble until I realized he was using a standard 50 amp marine inl; Everything came together in the end.
The price is excellent, and the product is both functional and long-lasting. It's been plugged in at the marina and hasn't failed to keep the trickle charger running in all kinds of weather. A good value for money purchase.
It seems to be of very high quality.
Please connect with us! I needed some shore power to keep the battery charged on the boat, so I went to a chain boat store and found this item. But then something inside of me said, "Resist the urge for instant gratification and go to Amazon. " It's a good thing I did because I saved $20! The product itself is excellent and does exactly what it claims to do. As stated, it plugs in and locks. It has been subjected to the elements and the sun, and it has even withstood a minor tug from inexperienced deck hands.
After that, I connect a standard 3-prong plug. plug a three-prong extension cord into the adapter's other end. It works great with 20 or 30 amp extension cords to power my refrigerators and freezers, or as a surge protector for my flatscreen television, cable box, modem, router, and oscillating fan. A tough, well-made product. I would recommend this product because it is functional.
