Yes, there are hooks on both ends. It's only long enough to connect one side to the other.

This is a really nice set of chains. I like how the hooks have a safety feature. That was a surprise. They're a little too long for my boat trailer, so I simply cross them and everything is fine. These appear to be heavy duty, but only time will tell if they rust. FYI, these appear to be zinc coated rather than stainless.
It was entirely my fault. To make it work, I had to cut it and add links because the length was too short. A product similar to this is available from Attwood, but it is 48" long. If only I'd known what I know now when I was younger.
They've lasted for over a year now. I expected it to be a little longer, but it works well.
These safety chains aren't long enough to make the x to hook them up, and I tried everything I could to get them up on the hitch.
The lock is fully loaded. It takes some thought to remove this, and I think it's a great feature for a safety chain. I am completely satisfied with the product for the price. I would strongly advise anyone in need of a safety chain to purchase this.
Good value for money.
