Selected User Reviews For Tebery 3/4-Inch Pad Eye, Tie Down, Kayak Deck Loops, Stainless Steel Loop with Screws, 10 Pack

The size is incorrect
4/5

These are 3/4" thick, not 3/8" thick. WARNING: Because these eyes are 3/4" rather than 3/8", they are unsuitable for a variety of boating applications. It's dangerous to use them on anything that children use because it's easy to get a finger caught in the eyelet and break it if the person is moving. A true 3/8" stainless steel eyelet is compared to these eyelets in the photos attached. br>They appear to be in good health. made, and all of the necessary hardware is included. It's clear from the length of the included screws that these aren't intended for use on a boat. These will suffice if you require a large SS eyelet. br>.

In canoes, great tie downs! I'm ordering these loops for the second time
5/5

I put them in my canoe and a friend's canoe. We paddled through rapids for four days. On the first day, his canoe lost control and he had to jump out; however, after pulling onto a sand bar, all he lost was a shoe, a few beers, and a small amount of food! Because of the loops, everything else fit perfectly. Another friend had the same thing happen to him, and despite the fact that we were able to recover most of his belongings, he still wants to do what we did, so I'm sending him this set.

They're a lot bigger than the regular ones
5/5

These ties are of excellent quality. downs, but larger than the typical ones you'd find at a hardware or marine parts store. When I got them, I was taken aback by how much bigger they were. They're fine for my needs; I'm just pointing out the size difference for the sake of others.

It can handle 1" webbing or 1/2" rope and is of good quality
5/5

They're a little bigger than they appear in the photo, and they'll take 1 inch webbing or 1/2 inch rope with ease. 3/4 inch wide by 5/8 inch tall is the opening. Non- Because it's magnetic, it's likely to be made of high-quality stainless steel. A number 10 screw will fit into this hole. They're also tall and round enough to prevent webbing from getting stuck under one side when the load is coming from an angle.

Before installing, make sure everything is in working order
5/5

Check the screw's depth before installing it to make sure you're not going to puncture something you didn't mean to. I installed these on the front and back noses of my kayak, and I had to use shorter screws on the back so that the plug could still be removed to let water out. When installing the screws, I recommend using a waterproof sealant.

My kayaks love it
5/5

The nylon loops on my kayaks were replaced with these. These holes were a little wider than I needed from center to center, but I was able to squeeze them together in my vise to get the required measurement. Only time will tell how well they perform, but they appear to be quite strong for my application.

The pad eye is a little bigger than usual
5/5

5/8" line can be slid through perfectly. These are larger than most pad eyes, which are commonly used for security and metal cables. These units can take a 5/8" line (although they say 3/4"). maybe if you put in some serious effort). I'm not sure if they're Philips head screws, but they're in the box. Almost unheard of in my world usable; It's best if they're square or T20's. However, we keep real hardware in a box for this very reason.

Battery holds and rewiring of a boat
5/5

I had the idea of using these as anti-theft devices after putting multiple batteries into a large compartment. To help with battery placement, place sliding braces around each battery. Keeping each other in check In a boat that is constantly pitching and rolling, finding a place to keep from sliding is half the battle. In a humid environment, stainless steel is a must. The quality was excellent, and I ordered enough to have some left over.
