I wouldn't suggest it unless you have a backup method of attachment in case something goes wrong. They hold up well, but I wouldn't put my life on the line for them.
I got mine in 2019, and they came with small Velcro straps to keep them together. I just use jute twine on a few of my straps.
Eventually, I'm sure.

The straps themselves are quite good, and unlike the heavier duty ones I have, the end of each one is cut at a 45-degree angle, making threading the buckle a breeze. br>br>However, the buckles are quite light, and I wouldn't trust them to hold up to much more than a hundred pounds of pressure. So you're good to go for a surfboard - However, if I had to choose between a stack of them and a SUP, I'd go with the latter. br>br>However, they're only $2 each, and I can't imagine finding a better buckle for that price - I wanted to use a pair on each end of a canoe to connect to the connectors under a Subaru, and they're perfect for that, and stronger straps would have been overkill - not to mention somewhat pricey. br>br>Update: "Working load limit 183 pounds" is written on the box, which appears to be accurate. On things like this, I like to stay under 50% of the working load limit I like to stay under 50% of the working load limit I like to stay under 50% of the working.
Unfortunately, I had to send my son home with them because I had bought his wife a book case, which they needed to transport on their roof rack for four hours. After a few weeks, I find myself needing to use my Highlander roof rack to transport my kayaks to a camping trip. I bought this set and was pleasantly surprised by its value and versatility. A total of eight straps are included with the box. That appears to be a significant amount of work. To secure my kayak on the rack, I only require two. But wait, by the time I got back from camping, I'd used all eight sets to secure a tarp between two vehicles to provide shade, strap an awning to the side of our tent trailer that was slipping loose in a 70 mph headwind (used three in a looped series), and of course, the kayak itself. I've since purchased a second full set to keep in my Rav4 and recommend that everyone who owns a car with a rack get one.
I ordered metal straps and received a low-cost plastic clip instead. Our trampoline will not be held in place by these.
The straps are excellent, and the storage sack is excellent. I bought the straps because the reviews for the folding kayak racks I ordered said they didn't come with them, but they did. I kept these straps because I liked the sack and because, like duct tape, one can never have too many straps; I've already used them on my kayak rack and they work fine.
It's a tried and true design. The materials are somewhat flimsy, but they worked well for my purpose (tying down kayaks on a car's roof rack). And for the price I paid, it was well worth it. If tougher materials are required for your application, I would recommend the NRS brand, which is slightly more expensive.
Our old cam straps were starting to show signs of wear, and with a 19-hour round trip ahead of us, I figured it was time to invest in some new ones. This was a huge success. I'm sure there are thicker straps available, but for the price, you can't beat these. They're also nice and strong. They may wear out more quickly than more expensive thicker ones (we'll see how long they last), but at this price, that's not a big deal. With these, we were able to secure our kayaks to our roof rack and they did not move. Both days were also very windy (wind advisory), but the kayaks stayed put. I'd highly recommend them, and I'd purchase them again.
These straps are merely adequate. The cams become loose and release when you really want to cinch down on something. I'm not sure if stronger cambuckle springs or more texture under the cam are required. For the amount of straps you get, these were a great deal.
