Lines on this are rated with a breaking strength of 60 pounds. However, how the weight is distributed and how well the knots are tied will determine how well it works.

Would a line weight of 3 lbs be a good choice ?

The weight is dependent upon my dunking pole and my line. I have 30lbs on my dunking pole and 50lbs, but I'd choose 30lbs

Here is the high-resolution image I used Last year, deer devoured my newly planted trees, but this year there have been no nibbles. I use fishing line to create an overlay around my newly planted trees using green garden stakes as support. Despite ferocious winds, heavy rain and snow, they stood up without a break. The cost of installing the fence is lower than buying a deer-proof fence, and quite frankly, the appearance is more attractive.
