Does it seem possible that the form could be removed and then reinstalled?

In short, yes. 'Side' zippers fit nicely along the front and through the lower inside back of the vest. This will allow you to remove the flotation insert when required and put it back when you are finished with it. In terms of design, and quality of construction, it is very good value.

How does with or without foam affect the definition of the term?

By removing the floating foam from the vest, you will only have a vest for fishing.

I would like more foam for floating, so why did it not come with it? There is a statement that says it comes with the package. ?

It was disappointing to see it arrive without any foam and even more disappointing that I did not receive an answer about where to purchase foam. My solution was to remove the foam from another life jacket and to insert it into the pockets of the Lixada with a little modification.

I am trying to gauge the size of the small front pouch, which is attached to the front of the large pouch. Can a tennis ball fit in the front pocket? Thanks a lot?

As others have commented, however, be careful you order it with foam otherwise, since you do not get a life vest but simply a vest. Not only that, but I screwed it up anyway by ordering the one without foam. It is a good thing that I am 6 foot 1, 180 lbs and around. But please don't get me confused with a life vest! From the description I assumed that this vest would be a life vest it is not one. Despite the fact that it states "floating" vest, it's If you're in it, it might float on the water, but not so when you're out. Based on other reviews, there were a lot of problems with the product. This vest is very good, but be sure to find the one with the flotation material, it's a bit more expensive. The vest that I ordered a second time is great. Kayaks are a good size and orientated well to allow for paddling.

The vest is very nice and has foam in it just make sure you buy it if you want vest is a decent value for the price, but if you want the foam insert that makes this a life jacket make sure you choose the right model

Not liking the sewing is one of my dislikes. My finger accidentally ripped the sewing in one of the top side chest pockets as I reached into it. It is not yet clear where it came from since I haven't inspected it yet. However, the price is too good to pass up.

I purchased this vest under the mistaken belief that it would serve as a "life jacket". There is no way for it to float. In December of 2018, this product was exactly as it was advertised.
