If you look closely, you'll notice that these binoculars resemble the Green model available on Sig's website and from most vendors. This black model is currently available for $899 on Amazon, while the green model is available for $1,149 ($1,199 MSRP). br>br>I'm here to tell you that I own both and can confirm that they perform identically, including interacting with the BDX app to create custom bullet profiles. I just ranged a building with these at a distance of over 2000 yards, so the laser appears to be just as powerful. Apart from the color, the only difference is that these black ones have a nice snug fit. clasp that fits - The green ones come with an odd non-sealed carrying case, whereas the blue ones do not. closing chest harness that, in my opinion, is nearly useless. br>br>I'm going to return the green ones.
Very nice, except the distance between the eyepieces is a joke. It's usable, but not great. There are no lens covers included. Lense covers are included with even the cheapest Bino! So far, it's working well; however, I wouldn't take it hunting because I'd be cleaning the lenses the entire time. Bench shooters in a clean, controlled environment may benefit from this.
A kestrel is paired with it. The thing is that the kestrel will pay you money if you range and talk to him. It will range the kestrel in the bino display and spit out the solution. I've used it a few times now and am very pleased with it. On my next hunting trip, I'll bring it with me.
I had the chance to put my Sig Sauer KILO 3000BDX up against a Nikon LASERFORCE. Optics - Sig appears to be a little brighter than the others - in particular at dusk Sig suffers from tinny chromatic aberration due to Nikon's slight spherical aberration at the edges of the field of view. The sharpness and clarity are similar. Ranging - Sig has a noticeable advantage over Nikon in terms of speed. Because the accuracy is so close, it can be skipped. Futures - Sig is miles ahead of the competition. The Sig is superior to the Nikon due to the BDX sync and ballistics display. Mechanic construction - When compared to Nikon, Sig is built like a tank, whereas Nikon is a beautifully smooth candy box. Overall - There is nothing better than the Sig Sauer KILO3000BDX for the price ($980 including tax).
My pupils are separated by a significant amount. I can't seem to get these wide enough for perfect binocular vision at 70 mm.
It was well worth the investment! In New Mexico/wide open spaces, I guide military and vets hunting for fir pronghorn, which are always large and fast! Don't go hunting unless you have them with you.
Operational simplicity Compact and light in weight. Excellent accuracy and clarity.
In the right eye piece, there is a clear glass and a readout that is easy to focus. Provides dope for up to 800 yards without the need for additional accessories.
